Citroen Relay cars are assembled since 2006 till present at the Sevel plants created by two concerns - PSA Peugeot Citroen (PSA) and Fiat. Today the model is presented at the market of Great Britain by one generation and one restyling. In other countries it is known under the name Citroen Jumper.

The car was presented to public in 2006 in a chassis and a van bodies.

The range of Citroen Relay power units met the Euro 5 standards — the model was one of the most eco-friendly among cars of the same class.

The basic package included an air conditioning system, Bluetooth, the mode of loud telecommunication, and the parking assistant also.

In 2009 a board chassis was added to the range of Citroen Relay available bodies.

Restyling of the first generation of the car was presented on The Commercial Vehicle Show in 2014 in Birmingham. The exterior of Citroen Relay was considerably changed: a slanted form of blocks of headlights, the enlarged radiator grille, big logo, merging with the chrome strips of the false radiator grid.

It was difficult to distinguish the exterior of the model from the one of twin cars. Nevertheless, the car was recognizable thanks to one of its basic options — the satellite SmartNav navigator produced by Trafficmaster.

Changes in hardware concerned a brake system and a range of engines. The producer expanded the list of available options, updated the parking assistant, added tire pressure sensors and Lane departure warning system.

The model was on sale in Great Britain under the name Citroen Relay, but in other countries was better known as Citroen Jumper, Fiat Ducato or Peugeot Boxer.
