So, in Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain, we find out that Big Boss/Naked Snake refers to his group as the "Diamond Dogs" at a certain point of the game. After listening to this song by David Bowie (by the same name), it's hard to deny it gave Hideo Kojima some pretty strong inspiration. I wouldn't even be surprised if this song makes an appearance in the game.
Even the beginning lyrics sound like they served as the setting for the beginning of The Phantom Pain.
"As they pulled you out of the oxygen tent, you asked for the latest party..." (Big Boss awakens from a coma, inquiring what's going on.)
"With your silicone hump and your ten inch stump..." (Big Boss lost one arm to injury and gets it replaced by a prosthetic mechanical limb.)
Et cetera, et cetera.

You'd think Konami would have played it smarter than they did. The only two things they even really had going for them anymore was MGS and Castlevania, and a lot of people didn't like how Lords of Shadow turned Castlevania into another thinly veiled God of War clone. So, I'm probably going to give it another 2-3 years tops before Konami gets liquidated, unless they managed to breathe some life into one of their other old franchises like Contra.

I've heard that the whole reason they are going belly up is because one (or more, not sure) of their higher ups is going on a crazy power trip. I honestly hope it doesn't kill the company, or at least if it does, their franchises get sold off to trusty people. The funny thing is, at this point Capcom is sounding like a group of reasonable and sane people XD
