TF Ideas: Animal or Theme Suggestions?
General | Posted 2 years agoI'm curious, I explore a lot of different transformation ideas, but is there a specific animal or theme you'd love to see me do? I may consider doing them.
Dilemma of AI Generation
General | Posted 2 years agoI found myself wondering a question: If I see an AI generated concept art of a character I like on sale, and I could use for a character in my own creations, is there nothing stopping me from ripping the design entirely? After all, AI generations are not copyrighted because it lacks human authorship according to the US District Court. That means I can basically "window shop" for these AI arts and freely take whatever I fancy, without compensating the seller.
It just got me thinking about the purpose of copyrights and patents. They exist to secure the rights of the creation to the original IP owner. It ensures this owner can make money off their own invention. I do know, in the US at least, that any invention you make is automatically given the moment you place it on a tangible medium — although you'll still need to formally register it to pursue violators.
Then we have the mass production line that creates multiplies of the same products rapidly. However, the catch is AI generations are often done unauthorized whereas products made on the line typically have a source design or schematics owned by the original IP creator who authorize the mass production. In essence, it's highly unlikely any of the original artists authorized the AI generations.
Then you have these "tech bros" attempting to monetize this. I see most, if not all, hesitate to share their source material or prompts under this implied guise of protecting "trade secrets" when there are actually none. I just feel we will eventually get to a point where our standards will evolve, people get smarter, and selling plain AI generations will become unprofitable. As I said, I can just freely shop around and take what I fancy — all because my skills empower me to do so. Much like a video I watched, the man explained how vital it will become that creators have a solid branding because people are going to start trusting authentic creators only.
For the record, I don't plan to rip that design I saw. I'm just too honest like that I guess, even if the material is an AI generation. It just got me thinking about this whole thing.
But anyways, these are food for thoughts. Thank you for reading.

Graduation and Game Project Ideas
General | Posted 2 years agoHey all,
I'm so tired. I just finished a game production course and I'm only a couple months from graduating from the university. After I got my associates degree in graphics design last year, I found I wanted to move away from graphic design and go for a Bachelors degree in game art. I'm loving it so far and am looking to develop a career making games, or failing that, 3D arts or tech art for another industry. At any rate, I'm so looking forward to getting out of the grueling study cycle haha.
I want to create 3D transformations. I'll probably post them ... if I can figure out how to make them look good and not creepy, uncanny valley stuff. I definitely think of making games with transformation themes, maybe small video game projects centered on TF short stories. If you're a game designer or another artist who is familiar with Unreal, hit me up, maybe we can figure something out and collaborate to make a fun game.
I do plan to draw more TFs, I have a long list of TF ideas I want to do for personal art and I really want to do a feline TF sometimes. Maybe I'll take on more commissions as well (cause yeah, I kinda need money haha).
But anyways, I just thought to get an update posted. Hope you guys are doing well too.

Thoughts on Shadow Banning
General | Posted 3 years agoThere's something I want to get off my chest.
I do not feel shadow banning is an acceptable practice. It involves silencing users without their knowledge. This is unlike suspensions or official penalties that allow you to appeal or learn from your mistakes. Shadow banning just secretly shuts you out. And you cannot even bring it up with the support team because, for one, most social media companies deny they do this, two, they are done in secret, and three, you would have no idea how to correct it because you wouldn't know the reasons why it occurred in the first place.
And to add on top of that, social media companies often employ AI algorithms to boost or penalize users. Have you seen how an AI thinks? They're not very bright. They should not be allowed to moderate content for shadow banning ... where users, upon finding out, cannot appeal the process.
Is it too much to ask companies to refrain from such unfair practices? Or do we just take free social media access for granted? To the point companies cannot afford to pay a team to properly moderate content and have to resort to this? But if a social media was pay-to-use, then who would use it? It's a catch-22. I don't even know.
Sorry about the rant. You can go back to your happy places now. This was bothering me for a while now and I just needed to get it off my chest.

YCH Opportunities?
General | Posted 4 years agoI asked this on Twitter but I figured I'll ask here too. Would it be of any interest to any of you if I gave YCHs, where I come up with the transformation situation, and you buy it to have your character put in it? Or do you prefer to come up with the idea on your own and commission me?
Commissions and College
General | Posted 5 years agoI have updated my commission sheet several times in the past few weeks, but now I think I'm pretty satisfied with how it is now.
You can find the sheet here. And specific examples of my works here.
I start college again on Feb 10 to start working on my bachelor's degree in graphic design. — That's five days from now, holy smokes! — But anyway, I'll still be open for commissions but I might limit the number of slots available. Furthermore, I might adjust my terms of service for my turnaround time to about two weeks. I hope for a graduation in December 2023. So wish me luck!
Some of you might be wondering what's up with my animation work. I kind of put them on back burner because I've been frustrated with how they have been coming out. I do have a 2D animated head TF sketched out ... but I kind of hate it haha. Knowing myself, however, I always come back, especially when it's something I'm passionate about. I just need a moment to step back and breathe. I also have been entertaining thoughts of making a transformation-based video game and have been learning how to use Unity. If anyone has anything they hope to experience in a transformation game, do let me know and I might incorporate it.
That's all I have to say. Hope you all are having a good day! 🐾

Moving Back to Washington
General | Posted 5 years agoWell, I’m moving tomorrow morning. I will be staying with family back in Washington to focus more on college. I tried doing the full time college and full time job. It was no surprise I was starting to burn out. I’m sure anyone who’d tried this would know. Hopefully, I will be able to find a better balance in Washington.
I feel like I’ve wandering around in college for too long admittedly. I think I would have been great as a biologist. I’m not sure why. It was almost as if someone was trying to stop me. I just couldn’t get my head into it. But I’ve always loved art, anthropomorphic art for sure. Kind of funny how the only major I didn’t give a chance in the past was actually the one I would grow in. I’m amazed at the progress I’ve made since starting in the field. I think I will get really good at this someday.
I feel good about the move. One thing I look forward to is the temperate climate. I hated the extreme heat and cold of Utah. Another thing is being close to family again.
I’m planning on drawing as much as I can. Right now, I’m working on a project involving my character Blazier. Once I get a full reference sheet of him figured out, I aim to get into 3D modeling again. I have only dabbled with 3D modelling in the past, but I want to make professional quality models and animations. So here’s to looking forward for the future!

Global Crisis
General | Posted 6 years agoIt is a strange time to be living in. The world is suffering from a coronavirus pandemic and I had a 5.7 earthquake here in Utah last week—no worries, I'm fine. It seems as if the whole world is falling apart amid the panic. However, I find the best solution is to remain calm and act sensibly. There is hope. Reality is different than what we see in video games and movies. These stories depend on exaggerated drama to draw and hold our attention. We have capable people working on a vaccine and finding new ways to overcome the coronavirus. It's only a matter of time before this chapter in history is all over. How soon is the question.
Onward to more positive things: I recently finished yet another quarter in college. Got good grades. It seems like I'm grasping the technicals of art more than biology. Though, I still have much more to learn. I'm trying to get drawing down so I can effectively create concepts and references, then I'm going 3D modeling and eventually 3D animation. Progress is slow, mainly due to the fact I both work and study full time. Despite that, I'm very excited about what holds in the future.
Most of what I come up with are just experiments or messy sketches, but I do post some of what I come up with. I find I love exploring the concept of identity and transformation. I might open for limited commissions, but given what's happening in the world, I feel it's better to wait and just keep practicing.
Hope everyone is holding up okay!

Killing the 2 Year Silence
General | Posted 6 years agoIt’s been too long since the last journal. The last one was what? Over two years ago?
I’m still with Merit Medical but I don’t think I’m going to be a scientist anytime soon. I feel I got into biology for the wrong reasons. It’s kinda dumb. So I backed out because I wasn’t enjoying it. That said, I’m going back to my original passion—which is computers, and I’ve decided to major in animation with some concentration in programming. I’m hoping to find my fervent dreams there.
Some of you might have noticed I have started 3D molding as well. You can expect to see more in the future. I’m hoping to get strong at it and possibility make something interesting. I’m also wondering if anyone one here 3D molds and animates too. I’d love to chat with them.
Anyways, wanted to say I’m doing well. Hope you are too!

Careers and Games
General | Posted 8 years agoHo! I’ve been too quiet these days have I? I don’t want to say I’ve been busy because I feel it puts people off or maybe I’m just weird like that. Anyway, things are going great with me.
I left UPS in favor for a different job. I hated UPS. Well, I mean, there wasn’t a whole lot I didn’t like about it, I just felt like I wanted to get serious with my career and UPS just wasn’t the place to do it.
Now I work at Merit Medical Systems. It’s a medical manufacturer and I work in a lab within R&D. It’s nothing too fancy. I just work with metals, dip them in a salt bath and other chemicals, do some data sheets and quality checking, and then send it out to other rooms to be further prepped before it hits the actual testing part. That’s it. I’m hoping this is a good start for my career though.
I make so much more money too haha. I’m basically rolling in piles and piles of riches (no not really). I’m just glad they’re enough to cover my bills with some income on the side. Hopefully that translates into commissions to upload onto here too!
I still do YouTube. It’s pretty fun. I really enjoy finding ways to make each video better than the last. I admit, I’ve been doing mostly uncut, non-commentary Minecraft FTB in expert mode and without a facecam nowadays. I’m pretty smart with what I’m doing. Maybe you’ll like watching them! Check them out. Bark.
Also, there’s a game that has come out last month called Prey. Has anyone played it yet? I’m thinking of getting it myself. It looks like it has an insane story behind it. Probably scary too. I’m not a big shooter guy, but the game looks totally rad. I want to play it. Speaking of shooters, a friend has been bugging me to play Black Ops 3 with him haha! I hesitate though. Not only the game is 60 dollars when not on sale, it doesn’t look too interesting to me. I wonder if I should still get it though. If I got Prey, would he think less of me? That’ll be a dilemma I’ll have to face at a later time. Haha.
At any rate, I’m still dying to get college done but I have a long ways to go. I am in the industry I want to work in nonetheless so I’m happy. Here’s to hoping for the best!

Telegram, Twitter, and YouTube!
General | Posted 9 years agoCrazy how time flies! The holidays went by fast! I’ve been doing great. Sorry if I have been too busy. I do want to try to keep in touch with you guys. Please don’t think I don’t want to talk to you...just have been too preoccupied I guess. I know you're probably thinking it's no big deal, but I worry about these things.
There’s just a couple things I want to cover in this journal:
First, does anyone out there have telegram or twitter? I got them added to my phone recently. Let me know yours and I’ll add or follow ya! Maybe we can hit up a chat or something.
The other thing, I’m a bit nervous about mentioning this, but I started a Youtube channel. I know, I’m pretty crazy for thinking about this. It’s a big thing for me and I want to make a hobby out of it. I started last week and I’ll be doing gameplays. Right now, I’m just doing Minecraft FTB on expert mode, but plan to do a variety of different games. Here’s the link:
https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCA.....HHzcji8iNu_g-A
I hope someone out there enjoys my vids! If you did, go ahead and sub—and let me know what you think in the comments (here or on the video), it will help! And just a little heads up, I have a facecam, so if you don’t want to see a human face, you don’t have to check it out, haha! If you did but didn’t sub, thank you for at least looking!
With that stuff out of the way, how’s things going for you guys? I hope everybody is having a good start off this year!

Into the Winter
General | Posted 9 years agoIt started to snow outside. I love how the landscape gets covered in white snow. It is pretty great isn’t it? Sometimes the rain will come by and wash it away. Utah has the strangest weather patterns I admit.
Furthermore, I began overnights work at UPS about a month ago. It’s been crazy in there with Christmas coming up and all. The job is the complete opposite of my previous one. I’m constantly moving and pushing boxes. There’s something oddly satisfying from this physical exercise though. After work, I’ll come home cold, sore, and tired with the taste of dirt and salt in my mouth—gosh I gotta say, taking a hot shower has never felt so refreshing before.
Other than that, my college semester is finishing soon. I’m just having my nose up in textbooks for the finals. I’ll be looking forward to a resident status next semester so that’s a big plus.
One last thing, I want to say thank you to everyone that commented on my previous journal. You all are amazing!

Friendship
General | Posted 9 years agoWhen I came back home from serving my mission a couple years ago, I had nothing. I’ve never felt so terribly alone at that time. However, one thing the mission showed me was how beautiful life was with goodly friends and families. Before the mission, I knew no one except my immediate family—and anything outside that circle was unimaginable to me. It was a world I did not want to understand.
But over the course of that mission, I developed a deep fascination of the social world. How it worked filled me with wonder. I wanted it. I wanted to socialize with them. I took this knowledge I gained from the mission and tried to apply it in my life. This wonder propelled me past a point I have had never imagined. I recall a time when I got my first furry friend; I was thinking how unreal it felt. I had a friend. Before I knew it, I had two, then three, four, five…
My point is my life changed since, but now I feel like I have grown too lethargic. I got lazy. I somehow arrived to a decision that what I had and what I had done was enough and grew placid. That was a mistake.
What’s more is that every time I look over to the examples of those I met on my mission and to my continued friendship with those who I had served with in California here in Utah, I question myself: Am I a good friend? I feel like I’ve grown distant from them. Is that their fault or mine? I look at them and wonder how they did it. How are they so happy? It doesn’t matter how long we last heard from each other, they are just simply glad to see me. Sometimes I wonder if it’s because of the gospel. Even though I have never felt like I belonged in that culture, perhaps, I could, and would, give up all my sins if it meant I could obtain this joy.
What sparked this was the opportunity I had to hear Markiplier’s words on a couple videos I watched. Those words changed me. He made me realize how relaxed I got with my goals.
Making friends is hard. No joke. It takes work. Friendship is something to be earned. Again, I have questioned myself why I didn’t feel like I was progressing. I didn’t understand it until now. It made me realize how far I have fallen.
I want to apologize for that. Whatever I am friends or just acquaintances, I am honored to have met them. I just want to make sure that each of those I hold as friends know I’m very grateful to know them. I want to show each of them my friendship to them. But honestly, I feel like I have failed that. I want to fix myself. I want to rise up and be a better person than I was yesterday. And I’m sure going to try every day as long I have breath in me.

Old Memories of a Grandmother
General | Posted 9 years agoI haven’t been very active on FA lately. I guess everybody probably has their ups and downs with their FA activity here and there. Is it strange to say something has shifted inside me? I feel like I’m living a different chapter of my life.
At any rate, I’ve been busy with my job and college. College is going great! And as I have mentioned before, I went part time with my job and enjoying it so far.
I’ve been playing Terraria a lot lately as well. I play it with a couple others: They are a married couple that plays games together. How cool is that? I also have been playing World of Warcraft, but the last time I touched it was a few weeks ago, but I still have to look for people to play it with. I still haven’t found any—maybe a one or two at least—I stuck at socializing.
Other than that, I’ve been emailing a friend every once in a while and we started talking about grandmothers. The topic eventually fell upon my great grandmother who passed away some years ago. She was a literally a “great” grandmother. I liked her. There was a parrot she owned during my youth which I was very fascinated with and spent a ton of time in front of it every time my family would go over to visit my great grandmother. Over time, we started visiting her less and less. I dunno what happened, but she eventually passed away. I guess that might be good conversation to have with my father someday.
But anyway, until I started talking to my friend about her, I never realized how many memories I had of her. My only regret is that I never got a chance to tell her how awesome she was.

Burnout
General | Posted 9 years agoSometimes I feel like I don’t know what I’m doing half of the time, but I get by. I’ve found making a diligent effort to set goals help a lot. I’m back on FA nonetheless.
I got college coming soon in a few weeks. The job I have finally burnt me out enough that I decided to chuck the two week notice on my boss—but we eventually agreed that I’ll go part time instead, haha! It’s nice to feel wanted. Seriously though, I’ll work 20 hours one day and then 14 the next. My days off feel limited because I’m sleeping all the time. It’s awful. I started chugging down Pepsi to ward off some of that fatigued nonsense too...
At any rate, I like my job. My boss is a nice man and does stretch those angry, stressed wrinkles on his face into a refreshing smile at times. I feel bad for the eSort team though. They’re so worn out. The work just keeps piling on without any end in sight. On the other hand, I always hear them talking and laughing in the background. The work atmosphere isn’t as gloomy as one would think. Sometimes I feel the work really brings us all together because we understand each other’s struggles. We are all friends.
Other than that, over the days I got three new commissions, two which I just posted, and the third is still a work in progress. These might be my last for a while now. I got college and some other obligations I gotta focus my money on.
Things are looking up for me. I’m excited to see what the month of August has to offer.

Sleep Drift
General | Posted 9 years agoI’m so neck deep in work. They often having me working over 12 hours, heck, I would find myself there until 6am in the next day—that’s around 20 hours in one sitting! Is that even legal? Anyway, besides having to do all those errands that also demand my attention, I’m tired most of the time but I manage.
Since I’m still a non-resident, I decided against going to college for that semester. I will be going this fall though and got chemistry classes. I also learned that once I get my associates degree, I can get a AMT certification for entry-level laboratory work. This, I’m really looking forward to!
I write a Minecraft blog by the way. Basically, I'm just writing a record of all my doings in a mod called Feed the Beast, in an expert mode that makes everything tough. It's fun and loaded with lots of technology to play with. Check it out!

Brother of Markiplier
General | Posted 9 years agoWhile I was searching a forum, I discovered that Thomas (Tom) Fischbach is the brother of Markiplier! I just could not believe it. It's those moments when the world feels smaller than usual. For those that don't know, Tom is the man behind the webcomic Twokinds. It's one of my favorite comics. Though I don't think Tom officially considers himself a furry, a lot of his stuff is related to anthropomorphic animals. The video below is where Mark introduces him!

Thoughts on Future Schools
General | Posted 10 years agoThe last few weeks have been crazy. I fell sooo behind on studies because my mind fell apart for a while. I was pretty sad for that period of time. It’s a nuisance to have to try to catch up on those textbooks, but I got a high grade on my last exam earlier this week. I believe I’ll be fine.
Biology is a great study. I already know I really want to go deeper in the field of genetics especially. As I learned more and more about biotechnology, it turns out it wasn’t what I was looking for. Apparently biotechnology and genetic engineering are two very different things—yet they’re similar?
At any rate, I see colleges with programs for genetics in California, Arizona, Washington, and in several cities spread out on the eastern seaboard while Utah has none! They have biotech programs though. I admit, I doubt I have the “smarts” to gain entry in those eastern Ivy League schools. Sometimes it seems that they only accept ideal students without blemishes. I probably will still try applying if I can keep my grades high—their tuition on the other hand…
I do wonder if I should start posting my thoughts and research somewhere online. My only concern is that I know very little about genetics right now. I could write about what I learn from other scientific journals however.
Anyway, I want to commission a new art piece since I haven’t posted anything on here lately, so hopefully one will be posted to my page in the near future. In the meantime, go check out salkitten! I recently discovered her; she's a fantastic artist!

Life Updates and some Tardis Adventures
General | Posted 10 years agoJust a small update, I got a job with a transaction service and I do data entry stuff—long hours in there for sure; but I love the people there and not to mention a fat paycheck. College started last week too. I’m just taking one biology class with a lab. Tuition is freaking expensive for non-residents I admit!
Aside with the lack of free time and all, I’ve managed to squeeze in Netflix and watched Doctor Who. I’m at the end of season four now. *wags*
Hey! Love werewolves and some humor? Check this!

Moved to Utah
General | Posted 10 years agoWell, I’ve made it to Utah and all settled in. I’ll be looking for work and getting myself ready for college in January of next year. Moving all the way out here can be terribly lonely, but I’m confident those feelings will pass as I get in touch with my friends, make new ones, and get to know the area here.
The studio I rented is pretty sufficient as far as reasonable standards go. There’s no dishwasher or laundry in the unit though, but it’s just for now. The apartment complex gave me either a nine month or a year lease—just went with the former and hopefully I’ll find a better apartment later.

Wedding and Furry Con
General | Posted 10 years agoFinished college at last! Free finally! No more shackles! Arf! —though I still have a long ways to go towards a degree in biotechnology. I’m just glad I’m done with my chemistry class and with college for the time being.
A lot of stuff is going to be happening in close succession from now to October. The major-most ones are my father’s wedding, the Rainfurrest, and my move to Utah. Apparently the first two of them are happening on the same weekend! Talk about crazy!
My father is getting married on Friday the 25th in September. He will be sealed with my to-be stepmother in the Seattle Temple and wants me to be there with him—well, obviously—and then there’s a wedding reception in the evening.
I don’t think there is anything else he wants to drag me into. Hey, short story: I was sightseeing with my father in Seattle last week when I told him I was going to a convention on the same weekend as his wedding. He asked me, “Oh what is it for? Is it some convention for dating or wedding?” I’m like, “What? No, haha, it’s kind of like a cartoon animal thingy.” Then I went off explaining a little about furries and werewolves. After that, there was some awkward silence that followed for a bit before we moved onto different topics.
Later in the afternoon, we stopped by Subway for lunch. He asked me more about furries, so I gave him the wiki entry and everything. He was so awesome! I can’t believe my father knows I’m a furry now!
The Rainfurrest will be my first furry con! I’ve been a furry for over a decade now, so it’s probably bizarre for me to have never gone to one. I invited Reiken to tag along. He’s from Arizona, so he going to be flying in and staying at my apartment during his sojourn here. It’s also his first con too. I can’t say how exciting this whole experience will be! I mostly plan to browse the art panels, shop for goodies, and hopefully catch the fursuit parade. Although I do wonder what more there is to a con; I’m sure there’s lots.
Anyway, I don’t have much to pack up thankfully, just some furniture here and there and a bunch of boxes. I’m confident everything will go well.

Biotechnology
General | Posted 10 years agoSo far everything has been good to me. The summer quarter is good—I just have a chemistry class that’s teaching me the basics. I went to a furmeet at a bowling alley a few weeks ago. It was better this time around. Trying to meet new people still isn’t my best skill, but I do try. Oh right, and my father is getting remarried, haha.
It’s a strange thought to have a step-mother, but at least she actually tries to bond with me, so that’s good. I love and cherish my biological mother very much. I would never want her forgotten or replaced. Though, I don’t know what to do with a step-mother…such as do I call her “mom” or something? It’s just…odd.
Anyway, I move to Utah in a couple months. It’s crazy how fast time goes!
Once I started looking into community colleges there—I really want an associate’s degree before going to a four-year university—I could not believe that Salt City’s local community college actually offered an AS in biotechnology! Colleges here just offered degrees in biology only.
This is perfect because UVU accepts students with AS in biotechnology and allows them to continue into the BA program for biotechnology. I’m excited now!
In the future, I might also get into a medical school.
Meanwhile, I started an account on Tumblr and LiveJournal. I added the info under my contact information section on my profile. Anyone can check them out if they want!

Spring Quarter Over
General | Posted 10 years agoCollege is finally over. I haven’t gotten the grades yet, but I know my biology class grades are high. This quarter was very challenging. As I have mentioned before, at the beginning of the quarter, I moved to a new apartment—having spent a great deal of time trying to satisfy their terms of lease and moving unto the unit—this caused me to fall behind on my studies.
At one point I thought I caught up with my coursework, but a few overlooked assignments I was supposed to do keep popping up. When I get stressed, I tend to become a very reclusive wolf…I just hope I didn’t make anyone think otherwise.
Things are better now. I feel like I’m walking in the wake of a storm; the peace it brings is good to relax in.
And I thank my Lord for the assurances and guidance he gave me. I should have handled my stress and anxiety better though. Better yet, I will never underestimate the weight of college coursework again!
Anyway, I’m glad to have the quarter and its finals behind me now. I’m starting a summer quarter on June 29th with two classes on hand.
Also, throughout the spring quarter, I decided to change my major from computer science to biology. Thanks to Reiken for his part in that. So basically, there goes my plans for a world dominion by my robotic army—just kidding about that though. I feel I enjoy biology more than robotics, and will be involving myself in microbiology.
Lastly, every time someone asks me how my weekend went, I always feel like I’m supposed to have some sort of dating plans done. Honestly, I grew up without any experience or examples in dating or marriage.
When I try talking to a potential woman who doesn’t reply to me, I always feel like I’m some creep they don’t want to talk to. I don’t let that bother me too much however; I just move on. I just hope to find the right woman someday…at least an one around my age—considering almost all of the ones I’ve seen so far are already married!
In the meantime, I’m going to do my best to enjoy my bachelor life. Woof.
