Welp, it been a long time since i posted, so just updating people about things.

Work has been a very busy stream of complex problems one after another, but getting through them! Oh yeah!

My computer melted it's video card a few weeks ago, so i have been online at work and on my phone from time to time, so sorry if i have been scarce(er)

Already into my busy season with Cruise ships pulling up to Dock in Bermuda, and meeting cool people and lots of work starting up. It looks like it will be a long run this year up until Oct/Nov with ships.

I have been working on roughly 30 or so special orders since last Nov and will try and post up the ones i have pictures of (and have been allowed to do so by the customers of course).

Where do i start!?

Ok, i tried to do this as a day by day thing, but after 3 pages, and nearing sunday morning, i decided to just do highlights!

The hotel
The Hanover Marriott is a great place. Accommodating with wonderful and efficient staff. The suite was lovely and felt like I was at home. I was rooming with  sardonyxfox  Moonblossom  whitewolfsin  spartadog  ryuuyouki  xxjewelynxx and bliss... I think that was everyone. We were spread between 2 rooms >.<

The Dealers Den
Incredible! Everyone brought their best and it showed. Was a great selection of pieces, and artists. I nabbed a few things here and there, and met some really cool people. I got my Annual derpy tiger badge of Cyrix from  gideon, got a sketch commission from both  cooper and  strype, and a few badge ideas laid out from  sciggles

The GoH!
 missmab  strype and  lazaruslong ! Talk about an awesome group of people. I made each of them (as i do for the GoH) a little gift package to thank them for coming all the way to the Con, hosting panels and sharing time with us. I made each this year a small hand-blown glass plate with their name and associated artwork, along with a small sampling of rum cake.

The Auction
Sitting down near the front, I watched for a bit before grabbing a few cool things for friends and did my usual for the NJSPCA. I won't tell you how much was spent, but it was worth every penny. There was so much donated to the auction this year! The Lion King memorabilia was plentiful. Most of the items were pretty neat. But due to the larger volume of items, the Auction ran late, and had to be postponed until closing ceremonies.

Auld Shebeen
THis restaurant was great for me. I loved the food, and being half Irish I enjoyed most of the listed meals, the Shepherds pie was delicious. Hearing it from everyone who had them i went and tried the the wings, which were brilliant. The old standby 16oz Rib-eye with sweet-potato fries and Asparagus was perfect, and what i ate all weekend!

Closing ceremonies
One of the most wonderful moments of the convention. Not only did we get Michelle to cry again by breaking the 10k mark, but a couple got engaged! In true loving fashion  dragoneer and the other staff worked with  boomerangt3h1337 to surprise his girl  moonstarwolf with a proposal. It was heart warming.

Why i love this con.

Overall, i was overwhelemed with running around and being everywhere to meet up with everyone, that it became a blurr of activity for me. I am looking forward to next year, and already working on my plans to help make it bigger, and better! (there is a Kaiju joke in there somewhere)
