·Quick, Unbelievably Horrible Update
Hubby of Pappy has been very ill, and it’s terminal. He’s now in hospice care. My life has been a bit chaotic lately, to say the least. And now this. I met my husband in 2009. We had a commitment ceremony two years later and a legal ceremony two years after that. I love him with all my heart. But he has struggled with severe anxiety and depression his entire adult life and self-medicated himself into a pernicious, debilitating alcoholism. His liver is so severely damaged that it’s basically shutting down. If this is TMI, I’m sorry. But I felt you all should know what’s going on in Pappy’s life right now. I don’t know what the right thing is to do or say right now. I’m running on lupine instinct for the moment. Maybe I shouldn’t even be posting this. I honestly don’t know. And I don’t know how much time he has left but I suspect it’s a few weeks at best. We’ll see. In the meantime, I am grateful for my community. I know y’all will always have my back. Thank you for that.
