Back to WoW
General | Posted 14 years agoAnyone know of or is a member or owner of a good, not too huge, furry based guild? Preferably one that if not focuses on, but regularly does old content for mounts/pets/achievments. Horde or alliance, I play both.
In other news, long weekend coming up, so hopefully my muse will bite me in the butt and I'll finish up these 4 or 5 3/4 of the way done portraits, and get them scanned and posted. If not, I'll prolly end up making soap.
And least Thanksgiving's done and I can avoid feeding my massive family until Christmas.

Glitter - A festive holiday STD
General | Posted 14 years agoHey, all.
Well, boredom abounds as I sit here, house and dog sitting for some aquaintances of mine. While I've looked after Earl (An American Bulldog) many times over his life, he's getting so on in years now it's more like looking after a cat. He naps almost as much as I do.
I'm wincing as I write this, as this computer they have is so old and slow, it not only takes roughly 10 minutes to boot up, but also about 5 minutes to load each page. I'm begining to belive that if I opened the thing up, I would not be shocked in the least to find the motherboard to be carved from stone by some ahead-of-their-time australopithecus. Only being here for a smidgen over a week, I decided not to lug my large, but wonderfully constructed, desktop over here. Remind me in the future to not travel without it for any length of time. I miss WoW, writting, torrenting, heck, I even miss adminning! :)
One the brighter side of things, I'm thoroughly enjoying this lack of sun and heat we've been having. Seems like summer has finally decided to take a break and give me some much anticipated fall weather.
Work, on the other hand, is getting worse and wose as the big corporate noose tightens and working conditions get more and more ridiculous. (For those that don't know, I work for a very large, corporate run chain of art supply stores. They made me sign a piece of paper that says I can't name it. But that's ok, I'll mock them with or without a name. Which starts with M, btw.) And of course, due to the fact that the Non Denominational Winter Festival season (I think some of you may refer to it as Christmas) starts in roughly June for retail, myself and all my co workers are thoroughly coated in glitter, (which we have discovered is basically the herpes of the art world) because it seems everything related to this season is shllac'ed in it, which gives all us bitter, misanthropic nihilistic employees a falsely cheery appearance.
Anyhow, I do hope you all are doing well, and I will be back in my own home with my own comupter on Tuesday the 20th, and hopefully get back to work here at FA, and possibly even manage to upload some of the backlog that's piling up here.
Cheers!
(PS, while I am a stickler or spelling, grammar and puntuation, please forgive me for any errors in this entry, as I fear if I try to run a spellcheck on this computer, time may actually move backwards in some sort of a spatial continuity.)

So you want some insight, huh?
General | Posted 14 years agoThanx to
BelicBear for this, I was looking for something to do while WoW patched itself.
For the most part, pretty accurate, especially the parts I bolded.
Creative
You are good at solving problems, coming up with original ideas, and seeing connections between things, connections that most other people miss. People with a high score on the "creative" trait often are employed in such fields as finance and scientific research, and enjoy avant garde and classical music as well as literary fiction and scholarly non-fiction.
You do not shun abstractions and concepts in favor of the concrete and tangible.
Original
You are constantly coming up with new ideas. For you, the world as it exists is just a jumping-off place; what's going on inside your mind is often more interesting than what's going on outside.
You don't feel that the road to success is to be a realist and stick to the program; you never stop yourself from coming up with new ideas or telling the world what you're thinking about.
Innovative
You come up with a lot of ideas; if one doesn't work out, there's always another waiting in the wings. You often have interesting solutions to difficult problems. You're practically a one-person brainstorming session.
You are less interested changing the world than in dealing with things as they are. Unlike those who spend all their time trying to solve problems, you prefer to zero in on things that work and stick with them.
Introspective
You like your own company; you're a very interesting person. Tracking your own mental processes, knowing what you're thinking and why you do what you do, is important to you. Often, what's going on in your mind is more compelling than what's going on outside. For the most part, those with a high score on the "introspective" trait enjoy reading, taking long walks, learning new things, and other solitary activities.
You are not someone who is constantly looking to be among a group of friends; you never feel bored when you are by yourself.
Intellectual
You are thoughtful, rational, and comfortable in the world of ideas. People find you interesting to talk to. You're the living embodiment of the saying "You learn something new every day." In general, those with a high score on the "intellectual" trait are employed in such fields as teaching and research, and are enthusiastic about reading, foreign films, and classical music.
You do not avoid abstract conversation, experimenting with new ideas, or studying new things. It bores you to stick to the straight and narrow of what you already know.
Solitary
You are a private person, not very comfortable in a big group, and view excessive socializing as a waste of time.
You do not prefer hanging out with others compared to spending time alone; you do not tend to feel at home in a crowded room, club, stadium, or auditorium.
Accessible
You're comfortable expressing yourself in words and actions, with no self-censorship. You believe that if someone doesn't like what they see it's not your problem, but theirs. A high score on the "accessible" trait suggests that you have a lot of friends. (It's been comented on by my boss that I was born without a self censor button.)
You don't see the need to keep your thoughts to yourself, or to have a zone of privacy that encompasses only yourself and a small circle of friends and relatives.
Impulsive
You trust your your instincts. What others may see as rash behavior is, for you, simply going with your gut. Individuals with a high score on the "impulsive" trait tend to try new, sometimes outrageous, things.
You are not timid. For you, spending time microscopically examining the pros and cons of every decision means never getting anything accomplished.
Pessimistic
You tend to be a "glass half-empty" kind of person, which for you is simply a realistic outlook. Your feeling is that this world can be a depressing place, and only a fool would think otherwise. (Actually, I'm more like the glass is all empty, cause it's broken, then I cut my lip on, then got necrotizing fasciitis, then died.)
You do not waste your time searching for the silver lining in every cloud, nor do you believe it's your job to cheer up the people around you with happy talk. (Although I do manage to cheer everyone up just by vocalizing my un censored brain diarrhea.)
Unflappable
You are not a slave to your emotions. It takes a lot to upset or unnerve you. That's why you're a good person to have around in a crisis. (It has been commented that you could shoot me on monday, and I might notice by friday. But that could be sheer laziness.)
You don't let it all hang out, which means that those around you often don't know the pressures you're under or what you're going through. You're not the kind of person people run from in a crisis.
