As the wheel turns, and the seasons churn by, we begin to sit and slow down...to reflect upon our lives. Today is Lammas, also known as Lughnasadh. It is common place to honour the god Lugh, who is known as the 'jack of all trades' god. Which will be quite handy if you are an artist or a doctor or whatever you may be. The sun is setting and the harvest approaches fast, as soon summer shall cool.

The firey energies of the sun make us sweat and burns our skin, yet most of us cannot get enough of it. The longest day of the year has come! the trees are strong and green as the wheel turns and we enter the summer solstice! For many, it is a time of energetic transformation bringing forth strong shifts in one's life. This time of year is also called Litha by some, and is the first day of the Summer season. (Sorry for lacking on this one folks! This time of year is very taxing on my energy. ;;)

Beltane! The buds on the trees are emerging into full bloom, there is magic in the air. Fireflies and fanciful flights of a whimsical nature are afoot. You may feel your energies become more playful, curious and impulsive. If that is something you usually lack in your life embrace it to the fullest and appreciate the gifts of the gods! Now is an excellent time for fertility. If you are trying to conceive a child, or just conceive a more successful year ahead, the energy of Beltane is in your favour.

First day of spring, Ostara!

We can dwell outside and feel the air's warmth upon our cheeks, the sun upon out faces and see the buds ready to bloom. Some of us may even feel the fleeting impulse to reveal our greatest secrets or frantically clean our personal space of unwanted clutter! (Both tackling that messy desk and disheveled aura!) Why do we feel this way perhaps? Because it is the first day of spring, Ostara! Ostara is typically connected to new beginnings. Those who feel a connection to this season often become jittery and wish to start new things. Sometimes we may feel a little frisky, or in need to romantic company as well. Either way, try to look into the future and toward a better start. This is the only day of the year that the light is equal to the dark..a powerful energy shift that effects everyone in different ways.

Today is a special day, when the holly king' s reign for the season comes to an end...he has been defeated and leaves gifts for his beloved animals before making the way for the changes to come. So!
