I've made journals like this before and I always hate doing it because it should just be a minor thing...
But once again it's blown up into a major thing.
I live in the middle of nowhere, and there's like one internet provider I can get. That's all.
And of course, the service is shitty. Like, way beyond shitty.
But it's come to a point where it's gotten so shitty that I can no longer stream which generates a decent flow of money for me to pay for things like groceries.
No internet = no money.
I am getting less than 1mbps download and .8mbps upload.
It is utter. Garbage.
I can't load my trello, twitter, discord, or fa half of the time, and the other half it just loads for an eternity.
And the shittiest thing of all is - there's literally nothing I can do about it.
We don't have the money to move to a more-populated area for better service, the people always fucking refuse to fix it or when they do "fix" it, it doesn't stayed fixed for long.
I thought this was all taken care of in OCTOBER. But now suddenly, when things are going well again, it's just one thing after another.
To commissioners:
Obviously this means a sudden and unwarranted halt in my work. If I can't load refs or the descriptions you put, I can't work on your commission.
I have no idea what to do as there is no date given on when this is "fixed".
It was supposed to be today, but the dude literally did nothing and just looked at me like I was stupid when I told him it STILL wasn't working.
I'm so fucking done with this.
I'll try to get your commissions out in a timely manner BUT PLEASE understand this situation is quite literally out of my hands completely.

Things have been really quiet recently and I apologize for that.
If you're a commissioner, I cannot thank you enough for your patience.
Things have been getting better. I've been coming to terms more with my mom's passing and I think I'm starting to be happy again.
I still miss and think about her every day, but I am also realizing that I'm very happy that she is at peace. She can finally breathe.
I'm sorry that it's taking me so long to get around to everything.
I have good days and bad days. Most days in this particular week have been bad, but I am turning that around today.
If anyone needs me for anything, please add me on any of the social media I have listed.
All I ask is that you do not bombard me with questions about your commission.
I am slowly but surely getting sketches done, even if I have nothing to show for it right now.
Just please trust me and let me get better.
I love you all and as always, your support means the world to me.

Finally back home. Technically we got here about two days ago but I haven't had the energy to make a journal.
The funeral was hard. It was "nice" on the outside, but with all the troubles and things my sister underhandedly did, it was hard.
But I'm not going to dwell on that. I gave our friendship/relationship/whatever you want to call it another chance and nothing came of it, so what's done is done.
I'm going to miss my mother a whole bunch. More than I thought I would.
And I know that sounds... odd. But I went for a long time without her because I needed to grow up. I needed to be away from my sister.
I moved up here and for a while, we didn't really speak. Not like we used to, anyway.
But towards the end, I really started missing her and home. I wish I would have called more.
I take peace away from all this knowing that she can finally sleep. No more pain or suffering or misery. Just sleep.
I don't believe in anything religious, but I do WANT to believe that there is... something after. At least for the mind.
She was an amazing mom and I'll never forget her. And I know this pain will never go away.
At this time, I would like to thank each and every one of you who donated, messaged me, offered me advice, etc.
You were my rock. I couldn't have gone without you. I couldn't have faced my sister without you.
You all gave me courage and strength and I am forever grateful for all of you.
From the bottom of my heart, sincerely and truly Thank You.
I only hope that you'll stick with me longer so that I can lean on you all more to get through this fully.
To my commissioners, please try to understand. I will start working again when I can but I don't honestly know when that will be.
I didn't expect this to happen. From what I understand, it was all completely random and like any other day.
I just need time to come to terms. Please don't be angry. I just need some time.
Thank you all for supporting me over the years and giving me a job. She was always so proud that I actually got to do what I love for an income.

She didn't suffer or have any pain at the end. I was so worried that it would hurt her, but it didn't.
I thought I'd be prepared, honestly.
I said my goodbyes in November when I was able to go down there and see her.
I thought that'd be it and it would be easier to handle this.
I'm at a complete loss right now and as such, I'd like to step away from everything for a while.
This will mean a halt in commissions, trades, communication, etc.
Please be respectful and patient with me. I haven't had anything like this happen since I was 10 when I lost my dad.
Now that I'm older, it just seems like it hurts more.
I'm sorry if anyone's waiting on me. Please give me some time.

Now that the Pokebank update happened, I finally got to move over all my shinies and... boy, do I have a lot more than I thought. lol
I have at least 10 boxes full of shinies at the moment. (also a few Events)
I have Gens 1 through 7. Trophy and competitive alike.
Some nicknamed, some not.

I'm not sure how many of you have kept up with the things going on in my life, but to those of you who haven't; lemme break it down.
I got back recently from visiting my mother in Arkansas and then spent a few days moping and THEN my girlfriend and our group of friends went to MFF.
We both desperately needed a vacation so we thought why not?
I've been exhausted and emotionally drained but now that all of that is out of the way all I have to look forward to for a while is Christmas.
That at least gives me a little bit of time to actually focus on my work instead of just sitting here staring at a screen.
It also didn't help matters that our internet here has been absolutely atrocious.
By that I mean I couldn't upload even if I wanted to/had things to upload AND I couldn't get any messenger running long enough to communicate with people.
So yeah... life has been... what's the right word? Hectic? A mess?
I don't think anything does it justice.
I just wanted to make a journal now that a lot of things are out of the way and say that I am back to work!
Still sending out confirmation sketches to the people that have been waiting, so stay tuned!
I apologize for anyone's wait. I honestly didn't plan for all of this. My insomnia, plus the two trips AND the horrible internet...
But I appreciate everyone's patience as always. I also needed a bit of time away from the fandom so now that I'm back I really feel rejuvenated and ready to work again! c:

It's finally happening. I'm heading home to say good-bye to my dying mother.
I will be gone from the 19th through the 26th of November.
Commissions and all forms of communications will be ON HOLD for this duration.
I will not have a phone or computer.
I'm not ready for this. I was really hoping to not have anything else emotionally exhausting happening this year... but y'know how that goes.
Commissioners your stuff will HOPEFULLY be done before MFF but at this point I'm not making any promises.
This whole situation has drained the life out of me and I'm just ready to give up. I just want to feel happiness again.
Sorry for the abysmal journal with no real updates.

I usually don't do these vent/rant type things. I try my hardest not to let things like this get to me but this cannot be ignored any further.
I haven't slept in two days. I am exhausted.
I have tried natural remedies, pills, liquids, white noise, exercise before bed, not drinking/eating, the whole nine yards.
Nothing has helped. I do not sleep anymore.
I have literally every sleeping problem that you can think of.
Insomnia, anxiety, depression.
I can't fall asleep. I can't stay asleep.
I wake up constantly. When I do manage to "sleep" it's not deep, or nice. It's akin to cat-napping, like how one would doze during a long car ride.
I have consistent and very vivid nightmares/sleep paralysis.
Very very very rarely do I actually get a "full" night's sleep anymore. When I say very very very rarely I MEAN it.
I don't know what to do anymore. This has been going on for months but only recently it's gotten worse x100 over.
I thought it was getting better, that's why I opened for commissions but I should have known better than to assume that anything is going positive in my life.
I don't get tired until it's the literal NEXT DAY, meaning I'm awake for 24+ hours before even thinking about sleep unless I physically FORCE myself to lay down.
And when I do, I literally toss and turn and roll over and fight my brain for hours and hours on end until I finally just say fuck it and get back up.
I'm at my wit's end. Nothing I've tried helps and I know if I go to the doctor they won't do anything.
Strong sleep medication (you know, the shit that ACTUALLY works) is only prescribed to those with prior substantial injuries and serious mental problems.
I don't know what to do, guys. I can't work because I cannot physically hold up my pen because I'm so exhausted.
I barely eat, and when I do, I practically gorge myself because I lose track of when I last ate because it is such a huge gap in between when I'm awake and when I'm not.
My eyes hurt, I'm usually if not always irritable and antisocial now, and what's worse is no one seems to care in this household.
Everyone KNOWS that I don't sleep and I complain and I ask for quiet in the mornings and do they oblige? Hell fucking no.
Literally they all go about their normal routine which is very abnormal, honestly. Because normal people DO NOT RAISE THEIR VOICE JUST TO TALK TO CATS AND BANG ON BOWLS TO GET THEM TO COME EAT????????
I'm angry. I'm depressed. I want to cry all the fucking time.
I don't know what the fuck to do and if I don't get commissions and shit done, I'll never be able to visit my DYING MOTHER or actually buy myself clothes, of which I have NONE or even go out anywhere or do ANYTHING.
TL; DR I don't sleep and it's interfering with my work HEAVILY.
Please be patient with me. I don't know what else to say other than that. PLEASE just be patient...
