Woo I'm here! Already walked around for a bit, posed for pictures, shared some hugs.

I feel out of practice, even though I've only suited for basically an hour before. It might just be that I was alone, or it might be that I'm still getting settled here. I need to join some other suiters so that I can pick up some energy.

Also I immediately regretted putting the zipper in the back of my bodysuit. Stupid stupid stupid.

Pons left this morning. I had been planning on taking the fullsuit with me on the plane down to Pittsburgh. Then my dad had the idea to take it, all packed up in a suitcase, with him and my mom on their trip to Michigan (by car) this weekend. They'll be dropping it off in Pitt at vombatiformes and Arpad's apartment on their way back home, Monday night. This way I won't have to pay extra for the checked baggage fee at the airport, and I won't have to worry about lugging around the huge suitcase. (I'm not flying back, I'm taking a bus to a different city and then driving home).

HOWEVER. I miss my suit. Already. It's Saturday night and I won't see it again until Tuesday when I get to Pitt. I mean, I don't put it on everyday and flounce around, but I like to just walk past the box and admire it sometimes. Have any of you other suit owners been separated from your suits and have these dumb feels?

I'm getting to Pittsburgh on June 11th, and leaving July 8th. My friends/con roommates live in Pitt, so we'll be faffing about for awhile before AC.

I could try, if I'm hanging out with people in the zoo and they have a sketchbook or something. It might be crappy though. I draw so infrequently now.

Can I talk to you?
I might be somewhat shy, but go ahead! I'm not sure how much talking I'll be doing in suit. I'm already soft-spoken. Add a foam head and I don't know if people will hear me!

Can I touch you?
Give Pons all of the hugs. But not aggressive surprise hugs from behind, I don't want to fall over. Last year I suited for a while in corgiface's corgi, and some guy gave me a pick up and spin around hug. That was fun.

How can I find you?
Last year I said I was going to tweet my location periodically or something. I don't think I did a single time. I forgot. This year, if you want to find me, just give me a shout here on my FA wall and I'll reply. If you're someone I'm reasonably familiar with and you don't have a smartphone (or other internet device) to get on FA, I can give you my phone number and you can text me if you want to meet up sometime during the con.

Can I visit your room?
Nooo we are private people. We need a retreat that is free of excessive stimulus.

Can I buy you drinks?
If you want to buy me something, buy me candy. Or like. Gatorade. Since I'll be suiting.

Can I hug or snuggle with you?
I'm the worst hugger when not in suit. I always always end up getting shouldered in the neck. But if one or both of us is in suit, then sure. I prefer the term cuddle over snuggle.

No I'm a horrible person.

Do you have an artist table?
No table this year!

Will you be going to parties?
Probably not. Not any traditional parties, at least. I'm not a big party person. There's too much going on and no focal point, so I end up sitting in the corner staring at everyone.

Will you be performing?
Just general suiting.

Yell PONS. Or SANDCAT. Or both. If you can't remember my name, just yell SOFT KITTY.

What/where will you be eating?
Is Fernando's closed now? :c I had heard that it didn't pull through. We went to an interesting indian place last year. Also a chinese place. I wouldn't mind going back to both.

Can I come with you for food/fun/etc?
I'll probably have major meals with my roommates, but if I'm hanging out with you and the idea of getting a snack arises, then sure!

Can I draw in your sketchbook?
I don't have a sketchbook, but I do plan on bringing some sort of book that people can either doodle in or sign/give contact info. Sort of like a guestbook. I want to call it a con book but that's already taken.

Can I take your picture?
TAKE TEN THOUSAND PICTURES OF PONS and upload them here and make sure you tag them with my name so that I can find them and admire them. If I'm not in suit, then maybe.

What's your goal(s) for the con this year?
It would be super cool to wind up in a con video.

I set up this account as a placeholder for now. It will be my fursuit account, where I will post photos of Pons (expect most activity to center around AC). Plus, my name/badge at AC will be Pons Sandcat, so if people want to look me up, they should be able to find this account easily enough.

I was also thinking about using it to share art of Pons that I've commissioned? So that it's all in one place? I don't know yet. I'd ask each artist if they would mind, before posting, of course.
