Yep as you've probably noticed from the new art I am indeed still around and kicking, so sorry to dissappoint you all.

so with that new art there is still a few pieces owed but more excitingly (is that a word?) I am slowly developing a new character for a full suit to be made out of. Its not a big secret but I'm not gonna make a big deal out of it until the suit is done and has had his big debut

Anyway not that anyone reads these but peace out!

So I thought I'd make a list of all the commissions I've made over the last few months to keep track of them.

once again not that big a deal but a nice round number none the less. Keep an eye out n the future, should be a few more pics of serenco going up once I comission them lol

So turns out I've now got over 1000 pageviews, pretty insignificant but there you go

Well my first journal and its a con related one? what a loser this kid is...anyway.

First of all I drove over from Adelaide wih  marcandre and  arinaca which was all up like 9 hours but passed very quickly so that was a big plus. We got there with a full day to spare before hand we we spent tuesday doing final prep on suits and general relaxing.

Oh yeah did I mention that I just got my suit from  hilariousfruit, love it and so good especially considering its only their second suit. They are open for commissions now so go hit them up.

Should mention at this point the con hotel. It wasn't even a hotel but a whole bunch of serviced apartments, many of which had long term residents (mostly asian students) in them so I did feel a little guilty about making noise even though we were told often that we had book the entire hotel. The con space was fairly poorly organised with many stairs which I fell down once in suit and a completely separate lounge area which not only closed at night but you had to go out of your way to enter when you were looking for someone. It would have been nice if you could just wander to a panel and see someone you know relaxing. ALso you had to go outside to get from the hotel part to the conspace part, very annoying. But enough ranting on with the con:

First day of the con (wednesday) started off with us setting up Ari's dealer table and going to a MLP panel which was interesting for someone who has only had a passing interest in the whole bronie thing. One of our other room mates (who turned out to be a real champ) was running that panel so finally got to see the people we were going to be sharing our room with for the next week. After lunch at hungry jacks (god I had a lot of fast food that week) I suited up comletely for pretty much the first time in Serenco and went suiting in the con space and dealer den. After a few hours of this I got out of suit and got dinner. After this it was time for the first dance party. Not the best party in the world but I still danced the night away in suit.

Thursday was much the same as wednesday except we had some group photoshoots which was cool if not disorganised. Apart from this is was hanging out int he dealers den, the room or fursuit dancing that night again except this time with BBF as DJ.

Friday was time for individual photos and the talent shows, both the serious and no talent shows. Both marc and kaz (the other guy in our room who happened to be wearing biscuit the company fursuit) were meant to enter the serious talent show but thanks to the shitstorm that was the organisation at this con got told the completely wrong time and missed it. Instead they had to go in the no talent show with awesome dances. After this was the fursuit games which were an absolute shitstorm with none of us knowing what was going on and super disorganised at bed. Another dance party in suit wrapped up the evening.

The final day (after dragging myself out of bed after the night before) started of with the fursuit walk through town which was pretty fun since there were so many of us. At one point a tour bus pulled up just as we reached the half way rest point so that was fun but no random photos with strangers for me :(. Next up was the comedy show and charity auction which was wrapped up with an encore performance of a fursuit thriller performance with Jibba which was pretty awesome. Night was then wrapped up with the big final dance which had fairly ok music and for once not a pathetic turn out although it could ahve been a lot better. BBF was DJ and we danced the night away till 3 am (luckely not in suit this time, I needed the rest).

We stuck around for an extra day after the con (which was awesome forsight on the behalf of Ari) so after a sleep in we suited up and went down to the bowling alley for a post con fursuit bowl. This was pretty fun even if I sucked ass at it. Seriously at one point I was like 18 off 8 frames. Rest of the day was spent generally chilling out and recovering.

Next day was the drive back which also went quickly and I think ahving two other people to talk to was a lot less depressing then it could have been.

SO TL:DR version: much fun was had, mostly due to the people that were there. Con organisation could have been better but the volunteers did a good job and hotel was mediocre at best.
