Huh, last update was a while ago.
General | Posted 2 years agoI'm posting this because I haven't updated my FA for 6 years and I guess I'm slowly adding more things. Found that I've doubted myself many times on the story writing front, even though I kept writing, I never shared. Always doubting myself. Ironically I felt my skills blossom while working on Heroforge, something I've been practicing for a shorter period of time than creative writing. I do need to just stop doubting myself. There's something I worked on that I'm looking to post here, doubt many people will read it. But it'll be there. Who knows, might be surprised. However, I think I'll share more things from Heroforge, because we're visual-based creatures, and seeing nice pictures and pretty colors is cathartic. Who knows where it'll lead.
A quiet update.
General | Posted 8 years agoNothing remarkable here. I do much but don't talk about it. Was an educator at a unique educational program in Maine, and also working as a driver. Made some new friends, getting acquainted with old ones again. Even though this gallery's quiet I'm working on a lot of projects in secret. Soon they're going to see the light and we'll see how it's received.
AC, distractions and motivation.
General | Posted 9 years agoCame back from my first Anthrocon yesterday and it was a very positive experience for me. Met some old friends, made some new ones, found a boost in moral from writers I really liked, and am pushing through little things at a much faster rate than before. Had a lot of distractions, starting off with family, then it was a lot of games. I finished a project and will try to get the final edit done and hopefully find a publisher so this is also motivating me. We'll see if I update a little more often or not. I may also start using Sofurry to submit my stories more than FA, the formatting tools are much easier there and think it's easier to find an audience for it.
Cons, the internet and just stuff.
General | Posted 10 years agoSo
demonlord261 offered me a room at Furpoc, because I expressed interest kind of at the last minute. This was the first fur con I ever went to and the experience was pretty good. Was nice meeting new people, though some things with the set up could've gone better it was alright. It was an experience that was well worth it though. Will be living without internet access for my computer for a few days, but think few people will notice, and praying that I didn't botch a library interview. So, yeah, small updates.

General | Posted 10 years agoRealized it's been over a year since the last journal; too much of an introvert. Guess the summary of everything so far for those that MIGHT be reading.
Volunteering at Academy of Natural Sciences which will turn into an internship at their Live Animal Center in September.
Planning on moving to another area this month.
New job means I'm saving again after a lot of things threw me off.
And driver's license, which is actually a big thing for me since I had an aversion to driving because of some experiences that rattled me years ago. This could also lead to jobs I would've been qualified for if it wasn't for the lack of a drivers license.
Taking a class online too in Animal Behavior, because it's been over 5 years since I graduated college and studied it; like to brush up on things that I may have forgotten or may have been studied further since graduation.
Might throw some things on FA again, I think the submission style for stories threw me off; really dislike it.

A nice challenge
General | Posted 11 years agoTaking part in Camp NaNoWriMo this month. Basically you set a writing goal, often with the idea is to write something novel length in a month. Should be fun doing this with a bunch of people from the FWG (Furry Writers Guild). Going to focus on a big project that's going to correlate to another one I'm working on.
Refinement in the warm season
General | Posted 11 years agoRefining my style with characters I can immerse myself in and a story that's fitting for the chaos that follows them. Spring has come, the time of renewal. It's time I resolve things I've neglected, and push onward in hopes for new growth.
Tis the season for cold and white dust.
General | Posted 12 years agoThat white dust being snow. But yes, the temperatures drop like the sun over the horizon but will be going up again. The only way we can be bundled any tighter in our coats would be if we're wearing strait jackets. But the good news is winter's usually beautiful when it snows (even when you have to shovel it) and after another three month's we're in the seasons of flowers, which would be the season of stuffy noses and watery eyes. So lets enjoy the world of crystal, deep sleep and excessive marketing while we can.
Life and the irratic mind.
General | Posted 12 years agoLife has a habit of throwing things at you, good and bad. It also throws things at you that pulls you in directions you don't really mean to go. And so it does so with me. I've gone on a tangent more times than I care to count, in hopes of eventually getting things together to put myself back on course with my life. But now I'm starting to feel like I've been too long on the tangent and am loosing my vision. To add to the chaos I've been engrossing myself a bit too much in games. My writings have mostly stalled until recently. Spending 2 years in high school 4 years of college writing for myself and role playing to hone my skills; and in the last 2 years I felt like my work has degraded substantially. So here I am, trying to pull myself together and get back on track. I get many ideas, the problem is keeping my focus to see them though. I still think of old stories nearly done and wonder why haven't I posted them anywhere. Well, I'm starting to change that in the recent months. I've found myself sitting down, writing old stories in new perspectives and revisiting things to try turn them from cliches into stand alone adventures. Here's hoping that before long something new will be posted here and it will captivate.
And I should start poking my head out of the den to sniff around and learn about more people. Make more friends. Gonna see.

Scraps of writing.
General | Posted 13 years agoCan't manage to stay focused. I'm going to post some other works I still am fixing up into scraps. Seeking a job that's morally fulfilling as well as capable of covering some of the worst expenses.
Distracted.
General | Posted 14 years agoI'm working on updating my entries here, just hard for me to focus on writing while also seeking employment. Sadly that's taken up most of my time. I also wish to figure out how to upload my writings without others having to download it to see it.
Sojourn into new territory
General | Posted 15 years agoWorking on profile information while my eyes are ready to drop me into the realm of sleep probably wasn't the brightest idea. But, I'm probably hoping that some of my writing will have more success here than it did on deviantart. After some of the old stuff is posted I may start work on newer submissions here. Here's hoping that it actually takes off.
