I realize I don't post as much as I used to, and that's largely because I have had an irregular schedule and I am often burnt out. I am writing this because I am very much in need of help.

As you all may know, I am a trans man and I have been in the process of medically transitioning for a little over a year. One of the next steps I am wanting to take is having top surgery to not only significantly improve my mental health, but also my physical health. I have found a doctor I am willing to go through, but I found out that they don't take insurance, so I will be having to pay for everything out of pocket. That is where this journal entry comes into play.

In order to help facilitate the travel and procedural costs, I have decided to open up a Gofundme page. I will apply the link just below. There have been a number of things happening to me in my personal life over the course of the past season. My old laptop gave up on life and I've had to do without one for months, I've had a number of health things to take care of, my Facebook and Instagram got hacked, I experienced a recent pet loss, etc. Everything just kept happening all at once and it was difficult to truly come back from it. This time for sure I am going to force myself to commit to returning and staying on the ball because I need to get back into a rhythm with my life. From this point forward I will be back into creating for certain. I will also be updating a lot of things due to some of the circumstances I have had to face. I will keep everyone updated!

On a side note, I'm making plans to revamp one of my main sonas (Arreis). I've come to realize that although he was originally made with solid dark brown fur to represent my own dark hair, it's made a lot of his features difficult to see on various types of devices. I'm thinking of lightening his fur and adding a couple of markings. We'll see how it all goes after some brainstorming!

It's been a very long time since I was active in my art career and I am happy to say that I am back and commissions are open! I need to start making a little extra funds because I am struggling a bit and have a lot of major expenses coming my way, so your support would be very appreciated. After I complete my final commission I will be going into an extended hiatus. I have entered a very dark place with myself and it pushed me to being on the verge of giving everything up. I am on the fence about that decision, but we will see if I come to reach it in due time. In the meantime I will be sorting myself out and recovering.

I've been seriously out of it for the last few weeks. With everything going on I've been so mentally and emotionally drained. I still have commissions that need to reach completion, but it's been so hard to get motivated when I feel like this (thank you to my clients who are very understanding about my burnout). I'm going to try to finish up these projects this week and get back into the swing of things. Hopefully all goes well.

I'm gonna be a busy bee as I take random commissions from friends. This is what I usually refer to as "out of window commissions" because my services aren't open to the entire public at the moment. I'm doing things like this for a bit because right now I personally need the money. I'll likely be open for public commissions by the end of next month. It's going to be fun pumping some stuff out!

After completing my Legoshi fanart (which will be revealed soon) I plan on creating and releasing my new line of characters for sale. Each of them will be for $20 USD. The fun part will be thinking of the species I want to use for each one and the general designs. I hope that they each go to a good home afterward!

As you all may know, I've been torturing myself with the uncertainty of my friend's situation. I still have yet to hear from her and I still fear the worst. It is with a heavy heart that I reluctantly close my commission window in spite of the urgency that was placed behind it. I had tried to get the word out that I was open because I was so desperate to help her. I will keep the window closed until I see a sign that she is okay and that she still needs it.

In the meantime I'm going to be taking some time away from everything. I won't be able to concentrate on my work with all of this weighing on my conscience. I'm going to clear my head and take up releasing a line of characters that will be for sale in the future. My goal is to get them to good homes once made.

I've been debating on leaving my current commission window open because it's already well past the time frame that I typically leave them open. All things aside, I had left it open because I wanted so badly to help my friend. I had tried very hard to get the word out that I'm open, but was rather unsuccessful. Recently I found out the friend I was helping was in dire straights. What makes matters worse is I have no idea if she's still kicking or if she's... gone... I have no idea and it sucks. I really hope that she is still okay, but if not... I hope her and her unborn baby rest easy. I'm just very scared and heartbroken.

I was going to wait before I opened my next window because of how crazy things have been, but it seems I am called to a mission now to do so. I am doing this entirely out of my own volition to help someone that needs it now more than ever. I can only hope that I can make just enough to allow them to get to a better place than where they are now. Not only is their own life on the line, but so is their dog and their unborn child. Just when I thought I was going to allow myself to have a break from working in general, I found that I had earned myself a whole new list of ideas for future artistic endeavors. I have a new idea for commissions in the future and making characters for sale. I impulsively want to start doing all the concepts now. There will be a big reveal coming soon!

Due to the negative circumstances that have been brought on by the coronavirus and all of the ridiculousness with it, it's very likely I'm going to be extremely slow to post for a while. I have miraculously acquired a single commissioner recently and will be posting the full image soon, but after that there will likely be little to no activity on my profile for a bit. With so many people down on their luck at the moment it's very hard to maintain my business. My main focus is going to be making sure we can survive until this all blows over. I've had to practically sell my soul for groceries and I've had to hunt for my food. While being on lock down I will have to keep myself busy with other activities for a while. I may sporadically post in that time period.

I really hope that we can soon return to normalcy because this is just a horrendous time.

Aside from opening future commission windows I think I'm ready to start selling new characters in general. I want to build my career as an artist to the fullest potential I can. I hope that perhaps people would like what I can do enough to want my art.

I realize that I suck at promoting my art sometimes because I don't put enough good key words to draw people in. I will probably go through each individual post I have made so far and spruce that up. That aside I've hit another case of art block and might take a few days off to inspire myself again. It's irritating how slow-going obtaining ideas is at times.

I've had quite the influx of art ideas for the latter half of this year. As the New Year approaches I hope to continue creating new artwork with a greater sense of motivation. Seeing people actually like what I have to offer and even give me feedback is incredible because that was something I never expected when I initially started posting. I am definitely going to keep it up and keep evolving as I do so. I look forward to potential opportunities that 2020 may have to offer.
