Posting Schedule Going Forward

For a pretty long while, I've been posting around 3 drawings a week. Before that it was even double that, including the sketch versions. Admittedly, I was doing that initially to keep up with things like algorithms on socials like Twitter or Bluesky, and as a way to stay active there.
But recently it's started taking it's toll on me - mentally, emotionally, and physically.
Admittedly, sometimes I get really bummed and sad when a drawing doesn't perform well on socials, because support is just so... visual on things like Twitter/Bsky. It made me feel like despite trying to post as best as I could, on a schedule, things didn't always match up to my expectations and that took a toll on me emotionally and mentally.
Drawing, typing, and gaming nonstop has affected my hands a lot lately too, giving me troubles for about half a year now and the only thing that's been helping has been toning all of those things down.
So i've been using this week to rethink how I want to do things. And I think, for now - and maybe moving forward from now on - I've decided to cut back to one art post a week. Most likely every... Monday or Friday or something.
I still love to draw and share it, so i've had to really think on how I want to do things and this feels like the current best compromise so I will be more intentional on what gets posted each week.
This way I don't feel like I'm trying to play to the tune of an algorithm and I can also practice being slower and being okay with that, to help heal my hands and mind set too.

This is mainly geared towards Public posts, since I do have stuff still on Patreon backlog to post. As for how this affects Patreon, I'll still do all the monthly promises, it just means I might post slightly less but if I do post more than a drawing a week there, it'll just continue to count towards the exclusives there.
Thank you for understanding and for supporting me! It means the world, and I do want to keep posting my best stuff, just at a pace that is kinder to me 💙

Just wanted to make a smol follow-up to my last journal. I did delete it since yesterday, mainly since I just wanted to vent it out but not really keep it as something easily accessible, so hope people understand that and respect it.
But first and foremost, thank you, truly, for all the support, kindness, and understanding. I read each and every comment or reach out and those messages mean the world to me, even if I didn't have the energy to respond to them. Just know I've read everything and your words didn't go unnoticed nor unappreciated!
As for me I am doing better. Still taking things slow and allowing myself time to just recover, and process, but I'm in a better place than I was when I wrote the last journal! Letting it out was scary, but it did ultimately help and everyones' compassion did play a huge part in that so..
Just thank you, truly. 💙

I never knew him personally, but I remember the excitement I felt when he watched me here and fav'd some of my stuff. That was pivotal motivation for me on this platform.
And even without that, had he not created FA, I wouldn't have nearly as much as I do right now. For that, words cannot truly express the eternal gratitude I have that he decided to create this place and give everyone so many more valuable connections and positive experiences.
He might be gone now, but I think the best thing everyone can do is cherish what he gave us to the best of our ability and remember the fond memories that he, at the very least, indirectly created.
He was certainly here, and he certainly made a mark on everyone 💜

Patreon came out with a new update that allows free trials for tier rewards. Check your favorite artists on there within the next few days to see if they enable it!
As for my Patreon, the first tier will have free trials! While admittedly the cost isn't much normally, you will mainly get access to the next upcoming 7 art postings about a month early.
Some self-promotion, sure, but it's useful information to know if you check other people's Patreons like myself frequently!

General | Posted 2 years agoHewwo! Am back from my break! Think I'm feeling good enough to, at least. Seems I might've come at a pretty bad time, huh?
Well, I know things are crazy and you've seen a million journals already that all sound the same and are about what's happening on FA so I won't really touch on it directly much!
Just know things like this happen! We live in a world where EVERYONE has a different perspective from another. And some of them don't think to take others into account. All the more reason why you need to stick true to yourself and love yourself for that. You don't have to change a thing.
It's easy to say don't stress about it, but when there's not much you can do - or you've done all that you can already - then the only thing that's left is to take a deep breath and focus on what you can control, ok? Everything will be fine, even if FA falls. I'm just as disappointed as everyone else since I've loved Furaffinity for a long time even if I didn't always have an account!
I don't like the change either. It likely affects me and my art/gallery, but considering I went on a break to rediscover an appreciation for my art, I'm not going to change what I'm drawing! It belongs to me and no one else, y'know? If what I'm drawing is seen as inappropriate, or vile, or any other word someone might use then that's just what I'll be.
Or I'll spam the site with Bara Weisyr, who knows? Nehehe.
Already seeking alternatives for gallery sites since Twitter is horribly unreliable for that. Thinking inkbunny/eka's or both. So if I get hit with a warning or multiple warnings I'll let everyone know where I'll be heading instead ^w^
Aside from all that jumbo, I've been doing well! Made a lot of art in my downtime that I'll be posting over time and such because I cannot fathom how people art dump on FA xD IT'S WAY TOO MUCH EFFORT! I already only have one brain cell and it WORKS VERY HARD so I can't burn the lil guy out.
Anywhooo, thanks for all your guys' patience! I'm thinking I'll start posting my art on a schedule to help with my mental health! But as far as I can currently tell, I'm gonna do what I've always done unless someone stops me personally. No plans to delete anything from my gallery willingly. So, if you're scared about something you like, consider saving it!
Thanks again! Happy to be back even if it's amidst all this trouble. But at least after every storm comes a rainbow, right?
Break from Posting Art

tldr: I'm going on an art + social media break. No eta.
Juicy details:
I don't like how easy it is to compare myself to others on social media because it's beginning to change how I see myself and my art. So, I'm going to take a break from posting on most platforms and really only post for monthly art obligations when they roll around. It might be a short break. It might be a long one - who knows! Certainly not me!
Further reasoning being...
I've been feeling pretty down about my art lately which I've noticed has been a growing concern for me ever since I started posting it on social media. I used to honestly just keep it to myself for the few years I've been drawing and, to be honest, I found myself a lot happier that way because I didn't feel the need to be better to get a greater audience, to get likes, or anything silly like that. Like... when I started posting, I genuinely didn't care about that stuff because for years I've been an art lurker who appreciated artists without giving that stuff. Mostly because I was and to a degree still am horribly socially awkward at times. Granted, it was way worse a few years ago. I didn't want to like stuff because I was scared someone would come up and talk to me. But anywhooo...
As more time started passing, and I posted more, I found myself wanting that previously trivial thing and it just doesn't feel good. It's setting up really unhealthy expectations inside my noggin that I don't like until I got to this point where I almost feel like a walking contradiction of "I don't care about views/likes/watches/followers/etc." and "I do care about these things because they make me feel good."
And now it's affecting my interpretation of my art and that's where I'm really getting at. Even when I was significantly worse at drawing, I was proud of it. I was so happy to finish it. I think that's because it wasn't tied to anything social and once I started posting everything I made I found it increasingly hard to appreciate my own art because it suddenly became attached to other peoples' judgment of it, not my own.
I don't want that to be the case. So, I want to go off the radar for the most part until I feel better about that stuff.
It does suck because there are a few good people I've already gotten the amazing pleasure of meeting and talking to, relationships I would've never gotten otherwise, but I think for now I got to slow down because I know if I keep going it's just going to hurt my mental health and I don't want that. So, I'm going to mostly go back to drawing only for myself until I'm ready again. I think that's the best course of action for me right now.
So... yeah! Off the radar for most things! Bye for now!

Since I know the above stuff might seem scary, I do plan to keep up at least the bare minimum of whatever workload exist there which isn't too bad, just a few exclusive drawings a month so you don't have to worry! Most of my mental health issues seems to come from other sites, anyways.

Rules
• You had to have been a watcher before this was posted to qualify. Thus, any watchers from this point on and until the raffle deadline are exempt. No exceptions. I don't think it's fair to others if someone who only watches to enter a raffle wins. I like new watchers, sure, but I think I like loyalty more~ This rule will be enforced on any future raffles, too.
• If you are exceptionally rude or uncooperative with me, I reserve every right to forfeit your winning slot or even ban you from future raffles. Remember, this is art is free. There is literally no reason to be rude. So, play nice~

• Confirm your entry by commenting on this journal or noting me. DO NOT give me references of your characters unless you have won.
• 3 Participants will be randomly selected via a lottery program. All I'll do is put participating FA account names onto a list and the program will choose 3 from the randomized assortment.
• Winners will be noted on FA and be given a 3-day response time. If a winner does not confirm, their slot is forfeited and a new name will be picked with the same 3-day response time starting at the time they receive their Note.
• If you win, please respond with your commission idea/REFs/etc. However, if you need more time to think about it that is acceptable but will be liable to the same 3-day response time rule posted above. If you do not respond by then, your slot is forfeited.
• I will post a journal when the winners of the raffle are confirmed. Raffle winner names may or may not be posted in the case of preferred anonymity at that time, but may be posted when their art is made if not directly clarified. If you would like to clarify whether you want anonymity or not in your entry, feel free, but it is not necessary before winning.
• In the case of a forfeit slot, a new name will be chosen immediately and given a 3-day response time. (If a participant is insistent on other forms of communication, they may let me know but there is no guarantee I will remember it. So, check your Notes please! It's easiest on me.)
For Winners
• Order of art received will be based on which participant was drawn first. The note I give you will include your placement (such as if you will be the 1st, 2nd, or 3rd recipient of the reward.) The timeline for when you get your art will vary, but I typically get most pieces done within 2 days.
• Any commissions I get in the time of making your art, if any, will still take some degree of priority since this is free labor. Please understand that. However, I will be doing my best to give you your reward as fast as possible without losing out on quality.
Participating in this raffle means you agree to all of these conditions as well as anything in the Terms of Service. Trying to find loopholes and the like will not be tolerated and I'll reserve the right to still deny any services if I suspect such activity.

✧ Raffle: I'm almost at 100 watchers here! That's really exciting to me because I didn't quite think I would! That might just be my social anxiety talking, though!
Anyways, regarding the 100 watchers, I'll likely hold a raffle for anyone who wants a chance at free art. Watchers only, though, since this is a gift to one of them. It'll take place a few days AFTER 100 watchers. Once the raffle qualificatoins and rules are posted, same-day and onward watchers will be excluded from it. Sorry if you end up just being unlucky! Good news, though, ill likely do the same thing every 100 watchers.

Youtube Timelapses
General | Posted 3 years agoSo, I was messing around in Clip Studio Paint (the art application I use) and found that they have a timelapse option. So, being an ever-curious individual, I decided to record my first one which was the recent Remyr drawing! It seemed kinda fun when I was looking through the clip. A black, almost incorporeal creature emerged from the decaying earth in a field once filled with beautiful and lively greenery and all that squirmed in between. The crows, instinctually fearful, flew from their perches in the quickly rotting forest.
A figure covered by the shadows of a once warm and comfortable night quivered uncontrollably before beginning to crawl away. Something instinctual - perhaps something more, beyond that of their biology - told them to run, but their limbs shivered and froze instead.
"I… I ate you. You should be…"
"Dead?" The creature gained more and more features as its brow rose in the slightest bit of mimicked amusement. The emissary of demise stepped forward and its darkened purple highlights glowed incandescently before fading entirely into the night.
"Not quite. Beings like him, the one you ate… They can't really die, it turns out. Instead, they just get… empty. So infinitely empty and voided until you have… Well," the being's claws gesture upwards, eyes alight. "Me."
A piercing scream echoed through the night, once filled with terror and perhaps even a bit of pride until… Nothing. Not a lack of sound but a lack of substance, instead, as it became hollow before silence.
The Emptiness, the Void of Life, had returned.

Remyr Character Sheet
General | Posted 3 years agoTail vore OC I conjured up from the totally terrifying backwaters of my mind. He a dragon. He go grrr!
Well, kinda. He can speak, actually. Would that make someone less likely to growl?
All details below are related to the world I'm thinking about writing. So, if I mention characteristics of the dragon species, for example, that's only for dragons specific to my own canon.
Remyr [Pronounced like "Rem" + "Mir"] Close friends might call him "Myr." That is, if he had any.
Species: Subspecies of a drake called a Dragonoid which is a bipedal and wingless dragon. Most use dragon/drake classification as interchangeable since the word "dragon" is an umbrella term. Smaller in size compared to their feral cousins. They cannot breathe any elements naturally. However, they are renowned hunters and are known to be an exceedingly fast and strong species in comparison to other bipedal creatures. Their culture is strength-based and closed off to anything other than themselves, resulting in them living on the far-off edges of continents.
Physical Description: Red outer scales and oval-shaped yellow eyes and eyebrows with a long, but semi-rounded snout. Sharp fangs usually adorn the outside of his mouth. He has a few tufts of scales between two black curved horns and twin frills at the edges of his cheeks. His neck is long and connects to a large chest plate of rounded yellow scales that eventually trail off just past the base of his tail. His arms and legs are muscular. The 4 toes on his feet are slightly long, with 1 being off-placed near the middle of his soles. The top part of his feet, and the base of his legs, are layered with hardened scales.
Most of these details are trademarked to Dragonoids, with a few deviations here and there, such as scale and eye color or face shape.
However, exclusive to him seems to include the various dark-colored markings around his snout, eyes, shoulders, legs, and tail - seemingly for no reason. As well as his abnormal tail - which is far larger than a normal Dragonoid. Additionally, there have been no known sightings of another's tail being able to open up from the tip and swallow others whole. Thus, naturally, whatever organ or body part it sends them to seems to be a biological mystery.
Personality: Complacent, often times serious, and easily focuses on goals. Highly competitive and independent, generally keeps to himself and lives away from others - including his own race. Not above being dishonorable to get what he wants. Can be empathetic to those who've lived, or are living, in similar circumstances which he did.
Likes: Eating, sleeping, getting stronger. And, surprisingly to himself and others, reading.
Dislikes: Far too many things to list, if you ever asked him. In actuality, he finds it hard to label his dislikes directly. Whatever makes him feel angry, he dislikes. It just so happens that a lot of things annoy him.
Strengths: Decisive and quick thinking. Brave with a strong fighter mentality toward problems. Generally smart, resourceful, and efficient. His past has left him adaptable, too.
Weaknesses: Easily swayed by emotions, such as anger. His arrogance can lead to recklessness. Insular by nature and, ironically, self-absorbed.
Background: Remyr became an outcast before he was old enough to even know what the word meant. His parents and siblings were the first to sow seeds of discrimination, with passing comments and acts of blatant favoritism towards each other and hatred toward him. Then came the rest of his clan. Their world was consistent - Dragonoid's all looked the same, or similar, barring things like color and things that could not be seen, like scents. To them, his features made him far too different - hardly one of them at all. He wasn't even as athletic, strong, or as naturally gifted as they were. A failure at birth.
He learned more about why that might've been one day, inside their home cavern sitting with his siblings, when they were given their disproportionate scraps from father's hunt. His being the smallest of the group. No point wasting much nourishment on something like him, his parents reminded him. His body had always felt different, like the tinging and strange motions he sometimes got inside his tail, like cogs in a clock. He thought it was surely the malnourishment, his body compensating for the energy it required. But he was proven wrong that day when he stretched his body and the tip of his tail suddenly opened up to the size of a large funnel. Equally shocked and somehow at ease, he looked at it curiously. It felt like a muscle he hadn't stretched in, well, ever.
His siblings felt differently, however. Their panic filled the cavern they all called home and infected Remyr with the same. Life was already bad because of some minor physical differences… What would it be like now? To all that saw, it looked like he was a monster. Or, more specifically, his tail was. Even if he could learn to control it. As his siblings scurried off to tell their parents of the event, Remyr made his quick decision to flee and leave the clan permanently. He grabbed the scraps of food stored by their father for emergencies only, an act that would've surely gotten him killed even if he hadn't revealed what he could now do, and ran off into the wilderness. He didn't stop until his legs could no longer move.
He'd never felt freer than that moment his body hit the ground in utter exhaustion, hundreds of miles away from what used to be his home. That was his favorite taste. In his fading thoughts before a much-deserved nap, he wondered what would happen if he sent something down when his tail was open like that. Would it feel good too? Something deep and primal inside him told him it would.
That it would feel very good indeed.
Age: 72 (Young for a Dragonoid. Equivalent to ~24 year old. I.e., they live about 3x as long as a human would.)
Powers/Abilities [Base]:
Absorption - Can absorb biomass and gain the abilities, attributes, and selective physiologies of the being the mass was from to full capacity.
Limitations: Certain things, usually inorganic masses, seem to be impossible to absorb.

Weisyr Character Bio
General | Posted 3 years agoThis is the sona, or character, I like to use for a lot of my fantasy scenarios (usually vore uwu).
Details are important to me because it helps make fantasies more "real," I suppose. So, I thought to write them out here in case there is like-minded folk.
All details below are related to the world I'm thinking about writing. So, if I mention the angel dragon species for instance, and the qualities they have, that's only for angel dragons specific to my own canon.
Weisyr [Pronounced basically like "Wiser."] is my dragon persona, or drake, if you care about semantics. In narratives or otherwise, close friends might use the nickname of "Weis."
Species: Subspecies of angel dragon. While they cannot grow as large as their cousins, they have mythical qualities usually signified by the quantity and intensity of the markings on their bodies. Often heralded as near-divine beings, or perhaps as close as a mortal being could get to being divine without being primordial. Said to be the underlying cause of history's greatest moments.
Physical Description: Round blue-eyed and two-fanged face with furry blue-tipped cheek tufts. He has floppy ears, a tuft of hair on his forehead, and markings between and below his eyes which are also tipped with blue. His body is lean with a long tail that has fur at the end of it and is capable of bipedal and quadruped movement. All paws are pointed, but with no pads or talons.
Personality: Innocent and unfailingly cheerful, but timid at first. Adventurous when pushed with contagious enthusiasm by those more assertive than he is. Often forgets things, like where he is or what he was doing a moment before, and particularly enjoys things that are shiny - which aren't really personality traits, but he sure thinks they are.
Likes: Collecting, exploration, new food, mythology and folklore, compliments, head pats.
Dislikes: Spiders, insects, crowds, surprises, extreme cold, that feeling when you're about to sneeze and then… nothing.
Strengths: Caring, empathetic, honest, and hopeful. Sees the best in people and believes everyone is good in nature. Surprisingly analytical, which is rarely noticed by an outside view due to the rest of his demeanor. Endlessly curious about the things around him, which often turns into overt enthusiasm for incredibly small events, like finding a uniquely shaped rock on the ground or tasting new foods.
Weaknesses: Can also let that enthusiasm control him into obsession. Can be a little dense at times. Often gets lost in thought and physical space. Naïve, gullible, and quick to trust others.
Background: None. Seemingly, at least. He can't remember when he was born or who his parents were if he even had any. His earliest recollection is waking up in a rose-red field looking out into a distance filled with bustling towns and shimmering lights without a care or goal in the world. He feels he's here for some reason, but can't quite put a finger on it. People seem to notice him when he appears - maybe that's because no one looks quite like him? But no one looks like anyone else, either, since there are so many different types of creatures.
Age: ???
Powers/Abilities [Base]: These are the innate capacities of the species. As age, experience, and mastery increase so do the number of abilities.
High Energy Density - Like all angel dragons, especially within Weisyr's subspecies, their bodies contain an extremely dense amount of energy and can store even more. Mortal creatures who've previously witnessed outputs in history remark it as near, if not quite possibly, infinite. This gives him a great advantage in things that require stamina or require energy as a cost.
High Power Density - Similarly, Weisyr can also release energy at an exceedingly fast pace and recharge it quicker due to his biology.
Enhancement - Can enhance anything tangible to be beyond its natural limits within various categories such as senses, strength, intelligence, mastery, or even luck but does not seem to be able to do it to oneself. In Weisyr's specific case, also requires touch.
The reason the abilities are like this is that I think I've always liked the "big potential" trope in fiction. Oh, and also because my sona is prey 99% of the time in vore scenarios and my preds can get a good snack. As for whether he is willing or not, well, that's dependent on mood. Realistically, since it's me, I'd be extremely willing in almost all scenarios but sometimes I like the idea of unwilling prey. Storywise, it purely depends on mood or type of vore [ala wholesome, digestion, etc.]
