Commission Guidelines & Formatting (G)

Basic guidelines and assistance for clients who are looking to commission an artist but are struggling to put all their thoughts into a concise and easy-to-read format. Remember to try to organize things into categories, use bullet points, and work from the "top down" (ie. big shapes and stuff first, then smaller details). Try to be as descriptive as possible with out being superfluous and use photos if necessary.
Proportions:
This is where you should describe the proportions of your character. Are they THICC? thin? M U S C U L A R? A general body type chart on google may help you more accurately describe the shape to your artist. (ex. Lithe male with triangle shape body, emphasized biceps) OR (ex. Muscular female with pear shape body, average sized chest)
Body Details & Colors:
This is where you should describe your species and the markings, face, ears, tail, and colors for your 'sona. Be sure to describe large marking/ shapes like the boundary between the "outer skin color" and the "inner belly color" or if you have stripes, spots, wings, etc. (ex. "Male Tiger Shark: Dark Grey / Black skin (outer), White creamy belly (inner), Grey Stripe Markings: The character has a mostly white body with the dark outer color ending at the middle of the bicep and the tops of the upper thighs & hips area. Grey 'tiger stripes' cover the entire body. Large pointy ears. Big thicc tail.") OR (ex. "Peachy pink human female with freckles on her face and chest")
Eye, Hair Details & Colors:
This is where you should describe the eyes and their color, as well as; the haircut, style, and color. Be sure to include any make-up or eye markings' details here. (ex. White straight bob cut without bangs; eyes are black with white pupils. Horus shaped eye make up (see images)) OR (ex.Punk rock mohalk jet black with pink tips; eyes are magenta. "beauty mole" under the left eye.)
Misc. Details:
This is where you should describe any miscellaneous details that were not discussed above. This can include background descriptions, objects you'd like in the scene, pose details, outfits, piercings, cyborg robot arms, genitalia descriptions, that one special marking every artist seems to forget, etc. (ex. gunmetal gray cyborg arms, they start at the bicep and end in claws.) OR (ex.my character wears glasses~ please include them!)
