Is Vindictiveness a requirement to be a part of this fandom? (G)

I ask this because I recently sent a message out requesting to be unwatched only in return to be instead blocked and continue to have have said watcher watching this account. So...Is being vindictive a requirement to belong here now? I wasn't impolite, I wasn't rude. I was just short and straightforward. If you no longer wanna have contact with them, then why go through the hassle of blocking them while still watching what they do or don't do? It's fairly obvious that I'm not fairly active on here. I come on check out a few artists I like, and move on with my day. Maybe once in a blue moon I'll favorite a piece or two. Other than that this place is pretty empty. I mean I guess I could understand how much of a hassle clicking a button on someone's profile can be for people but come on. Hell even I'm not that vindictive.

Then again, if being vindictive is the new norm then damn, I guess I've been doin' it all wrong!
