Welcome to the Feral Furs group, home to all feral artists, writers, enthusiasts and fans! 



Feral is a term used to describe characters that do not share the human characteristic traits associated with full furry/anthro beings, such as human hands, human breasts, etc. Ferals will most commonly behave and look like the biological animal they are associated with in real life. The trait that separates them from the animals they represent in real life is the presence of intellect, as made apparent by human-like thought, audible speech, articulated motor systems, etc. Examples of feral characters in mainstream media can be found in such movies as The Lion King, Lady and the Tramp, Bambi, Babe, and Spirit:Stallion of the Cimarron.

Secret Santa Events for Ferals (G)

Hello all! Hopefully you all had a fun summer and are now starting to enjoy some cooler weather. With the holiday season approaching, we wanted to share a few Secret Santa events for those of you who may be interested in participating in something fun this year. This goes especially for artists who may be looking for a way to spread some holiday cheer to those in our community! We have found 2 such events, specific to ferals, for you to consider joining. Please peruse the information below and see if they're the right ones for you!

1. Feral Secret Santa Project 2025, run by zylosxiii
This Secret Santa event is for EVERYONE, not just artists, and it will be coordinated primarily on FurAffinity. Within the application for entry you can write down how much money (if any) you are willing to spend on your partner. You will then be partnered with someone who has a similar answer to yours so there are no mismatched gift-givers. Gift options include gift cards, games, snacks, and artwork. If you are an artist, or are looking for art of your character, you can specifically select that you want to draw or be given artwork. You can also select NSFW as an option for your gift. 2. Feral New Year - Secret Santa Art Event, run by varrawolverine and ingridskogstad
This Secret Santa event is for artists only, and it will be coordinated though Telegram. Within the application for entry you will be asked to provide examples of the quality of artwork you will be making for your giftee, as well as examples and details of the character(s) that you want drawn by your gifter. ALL SKILL LEVELS ARE WELCOME, but you will be paired with someone who roughly matches your skill level so there are no mismatched gift-givers. This event is SFW only.
