My fursona is a music demon by the name of Whisper. My headcanon is basically that all demons have one of the Seven Deadly Sins that they kind of inherently resonate with the most, and Whisper's is Sloth. When he was choosing his mortal visage, he picked the form of the Tulikettu, which is a Finnish folktale whose name translates to fox fires. It's an arctic fox with fur the color of the night sky whose tail would catch on branches as it ran through the forests and spark, splashing the auroras into the sky. But, since he's a music demon, his nature affected his visage, so instead of an arctic fox, he's a fennec fox. So he's basically full demon, full fennec fox, and also a hybrid of the two. It's a strange thing; I just handwave it with demon magic shenanigans.

I actually chose my fursona's design before I had ever heard of this folktale, and it wasn't until I was playing a mobile gacha game called Dislyte and people in the official Discord server were making OCs and I was bored one day and was curious which mythological figure would fit Whisper best. A few Google searches later and I learned of the Tulikettu, and the parallels were honestly kind of eerily 1:1, so I decided to adjust Whisper's lore so that he chose his mortal visage based on the folktale. It was actually an easier explanation that way than his original lore lmao
