Hello, I am Marine Vet Dan. I am an asexual male from Southern Maine. For work I work at two different aquariums as an Invertebrate Zoologist as well as conservation researcher with the same title. I also work as a veterinary technician under the only licensed marine veterinarian in the state of Maine. Previously I have worked as a geologist, CNA, bakery associate, paranormal researcher, and many other jobs. My main hobbies are photography, videography, and music production and singing. I found the fandom when I was 27 years old after wanting to discover more about myself. Currently I have three sonas. My primary sona is Luminous Limulus, a bilouminescent Atlantic horseshoe crab. My second son started as a joke originally but ended up sticking, that is Doctor Worm the American medicinal leech (yes, that is a They Might Be Giants reference because I have become known for singing the song). My most recent sona is my most conventional, Fedora the fennec fox, who was named for the fedora I almost always wear. I also have a few human charters (such as Rune and a human version of Doctor Worm) and cosplays (Other Father, Dr. Facilier, and a human version of Tamatoa) Since Joining the fandom I have started running local events/fur meets, I actually run a telegram group where I offer free meets/tours at aquariums, zoos, and science museums across the North East! I also attend local conventions, annually I attend Furcationland (FCL), Garden State Fur the Weekend (GSFTW), Furpocalypse, and Anthro New England (ANE). I also run panels, meet-ups, and events at many conventions including Bugtography, which is a panel that goes over invertebrate zoology and invertebrate photography (I also run a telegram group based of of the panel). I also sometimes host karaoke and at GSFTW I host the variety show and as of 2024 fursuit games. I also have a running network for furry telegram groups across the North East (and sometimes the world) that is currently connected to over 600 groups. I am always open to making new friends, chatting, or hanging out! The best way to contact me is through telegram (I dont check here or other places as often as there).
