Pete's Dragon, Jungle Book..? (G)

I haven't watched any new movies from this year, I didn't even notice that Jungle Book already came out since nobody talked about it or anything. Same with Pete's Dragon, haven't seen it but the trailer really put me off.. It looked like a Free Willy copy. I really think that Elliot's new design is cute (looks a bit too much like a dog tho) and been thinking about drawing him. Has any of you guys seen the movies? Are they worth seeing or better - paying actual money?
