TL;DR - I'd like to see more comments on my art

Hi there. It's been a while since I last made a post like this, at least on FA, but I feel that I just need to put this out there somewhere.

What's wrong?

To put it bluntly, I feel like shit about my art and my interactions with the community.
I've been drawing less and less frequently because even thinking about art has been such a painful thing for me. This is for a few reasons, but I think the biggest is that I just don't get much encouragement to keep at it. It just feels horrible to know that my art pieces get just a couple comments each and a few faves, always from the same handful of people, while seemingly every other artist on here gets a lot more and more frequent engagement on all their work, no matter the type. It makes me feel like I'm uniquely bad at art and like people just don't care about me or my work.

How long has this been going on?

A while. Maybe a couple years, give or take. At first I was always excited to get comments on my art, but over time it started to get depressing just how little things had changed, with recent pieces getting the same amount of engagement as much older ones. It's really discouraging.

Can I help?

If you'd like to help cheer me up, some comments would be really nice.
It means a lot to me when people take the time to write comments engaging with my drawings. It's nice when people fave my art, don't get me wrong, but comments are much more special to me.
