I should probably start this off by saying that I am not a very good writer.
Actually, on second thoughts, that's a fucking awful way to open. But hey-ho.
What I mean is, that I am not a very good writer of stories. Technically, my grasp of the English language is excellent, I can wield semi-colons with aplomb and hyphens with swashbuckling charm. It's just that I'm not so hot at spinning a good yarn - I lack the patience or interest to pace the story out correctly, and I don't really have the know-how of writing a story properly.
Where my strength lies is in making believable, detailed, interesting characters and settings. I believe in limitations and balance, and I always spend hours researching the relevant subject material before committing anything to paper. If a character of mine has feature X, you can bet I've spent more time than is healthy researching the details of that feature, its relevance, possible complications, and how it would actually work for the character in question.
I love exploring ideas, and amongst my fifty-strong (and counting...) catalogue of characters there are a dozen or more who are simply the product of an idea I wanted to explore to its conclusion, and since then have not even touched them. With stories and settings I am much the same - some are written for the exercise, some are written to develop a character better, but most are written because I had an idea itching away and I needed to see exactly where it would run to once I let it loose.
All of which is why most of my stories are unfinished and tend to taper off - once I've scratched the itch, I lose interest in the story. When you've discovered whodunnit and exactly how and why they dunnit, the rest is just so much needless narrative; which is why the big reveal is always near the very end of the movie or show, otherwise people would switch off early.
All that said, and now that I've almost certainly completely put you off of the idea, I am in fact available for writing services. I will happily perform any of the below services, free of charge, simply if you ask me nicely: -
Short Fiction
Erotica
Character Histories
Character Design
Setting/World Design
Linguistics
And I'm also happy to help act as a sounding board if you've got an idea and just want somebody to bounce it off and get feedback from. Once again - I do not charge for these services, and am happy to help for free.

So... yeah...
Actually submitted some stuff, woo!
Nothing major, just a coupla chapters in the "So Long, Farewell, Adieu..." series, so for all those who were desperately awaiting (yeah right) more stuffs of S/Sgt Janer kicking some posterior, this one was just for -you-.
I do have one other piece that I've been working on. It's technically finished, in that I've started at The Beginning, and carried on till I got to The End but I'm not entirely happy with how skimpy and shallow it is. Normally, I just writes shorts, so "concise" is fine, but with this one I wanted something a bit more than just a story. The main focus is exploring what it means to be "human" and I confess that it's actually something of a love story. But this is -me- so don't expect much in the way of lovey-dovey goings-on.
When will it be done? Well, my editor (my wife) isn't done reading it yet and she's already given me about another half dozen pages of things I need to flesh out and explore in more depth, so we'll see. It's one I've enjoyed writing, enjoyed completing, and generally hold a lot of affection for, so I won't be rushing it (y'know, cos I -always- rush everything, right? That's me, Mr Fifty Submissions A Day!)
In other news... been busy balancing work, DIY (that's "home improvement" to you North American types), college, and the website I own. Work's going well (it's always nice to work in a place where you can actually make a difference), college is going... meh but at least it's done after next week, and the site is going well (www.byblos-rp.net ; it's a writing/roleplaying site that's furry-friendly but open to all, and with a focus on sharing and developing ideas and helping people to develop as writers) now that we've finished ironing out the bugs and got everything rolling).
But, generally, things are going good. I may even get round to finishing that stream-of-consciousness horror piece that I started about this time last year.
