Too much fun and im getting alot of practice in with backgrounds.

You guys know the drill, serious attempt at writing this is not. I'll be posting the next chapter sometime later today.

Chapter 9

"So we found this Pegasus stone on an island out to sea, there had been some kind of ritual there recently we think it was used to make the hurricane that sent you to that other world." Jade explained over tea.

Starscream was busy looking out the window at the ponies passing back and forth in Trottingham's streets.

"Did you find who performed the ritual?" Airbrush inquired taking a sip of tea.

"No, and we still haven't… we were able to replicate the spell to get you home, but we need to find out who is doing this, if they could make a portal to another world they could send half of Equestria to this Earth place"

Starscream turned away from the window. "Which would be a bad thing… Not that you needed convincing, the world it would take you to, creatures like you do not exist. Especially not the ones like you."

"How would you know about that?" Jade raised a brow. "What to you mean… ones like us?"

"The horns and the wings, They don't happen naturally on earth, and well… the colors of your fur… its not natural, there are ponies yes but they are… somewhat different. Their coats come in colors like white black and brown, here you're more colors than I've ever seen… and they definatly don't talk."

"Interesting… " Jade mused, taking another sip of her tea.

"It was hard finding help because of your friend once she got loose. Her wings couldn't be hidden. We had to get help from Autobots that wanted to kill me. All thanks to your magic."

"My magic!" Jade looked incredulous. "We had Celestia put a PROTECTION spell on Airbrush so that she wouldn't be hurt. We didn't think she'd team up with her captor!"

"Jade…" Airbrush murmured.

Starscream snarled. "I had sustained damage prior to being transformed… I was nearly killed!"

"guys…"

"You wouldn't have changed at ALL if you meant Airbrush no harm." Harmony interjected.

'GUYS!" Airbrush stood between Starscream and her friends again. "Please… its in the past, Starscream was was hurt and has a right to be upset, he doesn't have much in the way of friends so please… it doesn't matter now. What matters is that we get to the bottom of this hurricane portal and find a way to stop it. I… I'm so happy to be back but I think we're wearing a little thin. A good nights rest and we should be fine."

Harmony and Jade both nodded. "Sorry, you know how protective we get."

"I know… and I love you both for it."

"So where is Starscream going to stay?" Harmony asked, looking at the metal pegasus.

"He'll stay with me… least I could do anyway."

Jade nodded. "And tomorrow we work on a plan of action."

Starscream warily entered Airbrush's home, stepping on clouds was not something he found as structurally sound. "Do… all Pegasus… pegasusus… pega…"

"Pegusi"

"Pegusi… live like this? in homes made of… clouds?"

"Not all, no. But I like too, I feel closer with the sky."

Airbrush prepared the spare bed for him gently fluffing the pillows. "There you are."

Starscream moved to the bed, a blue liquid was dripping from under his chest down one of his forelegs. "Scrap… I never did get my chest plate fixed… I'm leaking Energon."

"Is Energon like blood?"

"It's… hard to explain… its like a battery and blood, food, fuel and currency… it needs replaced occasionally especially if one is injured."

"You know I think Harmony can help you with your chest plate… she's a pretty capable engineer."

"And Energon? have you ever seen glowing blue crystals in your world."

"… how important is it? to… survival?"

"There… isn't any here… is there."

"Afraid not… I mean we have gems everywhere but I don't think we have that."

Starscream sighed and slumped in the bed.

"You don't get to catch many breaks do you… "

"it would appear not… "

He sighed and put a metal hoof to his heavily dented chest plate to stay the flow of the energon. "It's… all right I think i've got it to stop."

"If it gets worse… please tell me."

Starscream nodded.

Airbrush smiled and curled up in her own bed. "Just trying to look out for you. Goodnight Starscream."

"Goodnight… Airbrush." Starscream watched as she laid down and fell asleep. He was still getting used to this thing known as Friendship. His glowing red eyes darted to the window and he looked down at the town below. What made Friendship so important here? His errant curiosity was dying to know. He hoped in time Airbrush would shed some light on that.
