Illustration commission for
tsarin. Very wonderful person to work with.This piece has got to have the most extensive research behind it compared to my other commissions so far. It has 33 references, including various stances for Baguazhang, Northern Shaolin Kung-Fu, Hung Gar, Tai Chi, as well as snapshots from Avatar (TLoA). I even watched the entire episode of The Blind Bandit, just to look for the best earth kingdom attire for this piece (not that I'm complaining). Big, big project, but I'm glad I could pull this one through.

I really do love this piece~ I've seen it before but looking at it again you really do capture each nation in their attire, bending, and the appropriate martial art that corresponds with each bend. Their stances are superb~

The client is actually the one who picked out the characters for each element. The characters are OCs and fursonas of the client's friends and so when I accepted this commission, I already had a set of characters with each corresponding element picked out.
