The old Mill

Only the walls remain of this old stone building in the woods of Maryland. I believe this was some sort of mill, considering the good supply of flowing water in the stream behind it and the building's size and design. Inside there is very little left but you can see two fireplaces and marks on the second story indicating a staircase.

If it was a mill, you should possibly still see some form of support for a water wheel, or openings for it to enter I would think. Hard to know. Wonder if theres a historical society in the locale that could answer that question... At any rate, Great Photo 8-)

In the back there are a bunch of foundations near the water and this building had a rear portion that butted against the stream that was nothing but rubble. I'll have to check and see if I can find any definite water wheel remains
