You're probably sick of this thing by now, but here's the final version of the cryptid art. Compare it with the first version, which was basically a colored-in doodle: http://www.furaffinity.net/view/1005517/ You've come a long way, baby. Or some such.
The book it's in is the second volume of "BEASTS", from the folks at Fantagraphics, which is out now: http://www.fantagraphics.com/index.php?page=shop.product_details&flypage=shop.flypage&product_id=8&category_id=255&manufacturer_id=0&option=com_virtuemart&Itemid=62
I'm STILL reeling that my crapwork is going to appear in the same book as real artists. How about that?!

I think you've done an amazing job on the boy. However, this artwork inadvertently captures a moment from my childhood that's dark and scary. Being on the outside looking in. Not your intent but it sure does make this image powerful for me. Thankfully this canine isn't growling.
Well apparently you are worthy of a real artist, man!
This one looks much better than the WIP and first version, the critter blends much, much more smoothly. I also got to agree with Mulefoot - great job on the boy, too!
Great all-around. This does remind me a children's book style... through a mirror, darkly. And that's awesome.
You deserve the kind of recognition you're getting here, I said it at least once before, it's a shame you go under the radar so much.

LOL I'd be above the radar if I drew porn, I think, but I got that out of my system and some people on FA freaking creep me out with their fetishes. I don't mind the part about being attracted to anthros, but people who think it's perfectly OK to use their real dog as a sex toy . . . barf. Like I said on the forums, in that case I'm perfectly happy with being considered closeminded.

The people who do this live in Poughkeepsie. The Elves they write and draw about are Wolfriders.
The fact you did a close encounter with a wolf in Poughkeepsie and don't know about Elfquest amazes me.
Not - criticizing - good job - but I'm still amazed.

I remember looking this beastie over and thinking, "it's rather pretty, looks a bit like an Afghan hound crossed with a Great Dane..." Who knows? Maybe you were lucky enough to see something so cool as the Poughkeepsie Critter- I'm voting that way. Those eyes....
And you have my apologies for my not having faved this earlier! I'll fix that.
