You know..I kinda like how you have it now because it's unique, but shaving it down probably won't hurt either. It depends on the look you're going for :D. If you're unsure of how it'll look I'd take a swatch of rust and sew it to that white :D, then shave it down. If you like how that looks them shave the whole tail down a bit :3.

"big maker"? what a compliment! hehe thanks so much! XD but in my opinion i would trim it some to blend it in with the white. take some scraps from it n test it with those before you trim the actual tail. ^^ if you want, show me how it looks with the scraps ^^ what do you trim with?
I recently bought a Andis pair of trimmers, Keryu of Otter 'n Daughter showed them to me and I LOVE them. They're super smooth and doesn't destroy fur like my older clippers did.
I'll do some with a scrap and upload via scraps later on, would rather test that before doing it to the actual tail x3
