Mhm... having a field day with naming ofmy submission today!
Anyway, this is a commissioned piece by
Nalz where we went a bit above and beyond with the scope of what i intended the statue commissions to be...but... whatever. Has been fun and it turned out quite nicely, so that's all that counts. Also was able to live out my newfound love to back muscles, and of course immediately made tricky by adding a second pair of arms and the logistics of trying to attach everything in sort of the right position

You made him look as gorgeous as he should be :)
The only quibble I have is the cloth (?) that we see through the gap under his armpit - it kind of visually confuses the line of his torso. It might be better if there was more value contrast, a different colour, or if the folds of the cloth weren't parallel to the torso/arm line.
The setting is lovely - I get a real sense of the warm stone and cool water; I can practically smell it, in my imagination. Great stuff.

Hmm, yeah, i see what you mean. Not sure if changing the value would be the best choice though. Making it darker would probably single it out more by being the darkest value in the whole picture, and making it brighter would probably push it forward a bit too much. So, i think a little restructuring to avoid the parallel lines would be the best fix. Will see if i get to it in the next couple of days since i don't think it's something that is picture-breakingly apparent. Thank you very much for letting me know!
