The reason your sprite looks like that is because your heat is WAY too high. Turn the iron down to medium-low or so. Don't apply any pressure. You should be able to see the beads through your ironing paper- once it looks like they're starting to close, only iron a few seconds more.
Experience and knowing your iron are the best help. Sprite looks fine though dear. I have an annoying dog on my wall right here m'self.
