I prefer the first one too, but multi-player in the second is a little more reliable if I want to play with friends.

Went back to play DS1 recently (after a 6 month break) and the whole game is overrun with hackers. Makes online play aggravating and just..not fun. @@ Whatever servers are left are destroyed by them as well.

I attempted to play with a friend. I could see his summon symbol, and he could see mine - but we kept getting the message "summoning failed". Faulty serves. I blame the hackers. In just 4 hours of gameplay I was invaded/summoned by about 5 of them.

They're in DS2 too. Someone invaded me and started spawning enemies.

God damn I've never been more hyped. Getting a new PC in prep for DS3. 1 is still the best game I have ever played in my entire life. Have you seen the new starting classes? What are you planning on focusing for your first character?

Truth be told, I haven't figured out what I want to be yet. Pyromancy was so terrible in DS1, but from what I hear most of the enemies are weak to fire the new game.
Moreover, everything in DS3 is so unbelievably fast. I might as well use a Dex build. (I refuse to use magic haha)
My very first time playing the series I was a heavy and slow casul. The armor I'm wearing above is the armor I stuck with my -entire- first playthrough. I learned the hard way that's...not a good way to play the game. XD Maybe if you're PVE with another person and you're the tank that took hits - but I didn't even have internet my first play through. I've changed a lot. C:

Anyways, yes I'm stupid hyped for it too. The Souls series is my faaavorite, and DS2 was the biggest letdown of my life...I need this to make me feel complete again. <3

Hmm Pyromancy I didn't experiment too much in DS1. I started Thief ...and knew nothing about backstabs X0. Needless to say I died a lot, did shit damage, and couldn't wear much anything too heavy till later. Then I became a horrid Forest invader and used the claws/great scythe and flippy ring :p DS3 looks VERY fast, almost bloodborne fast. I plan to roll thief again cuz it's kind of become tradition for me in most RPGs to go the thief class, plus Dex builds have always been my favorite. That armor you were using though is badass, black knight set is sweet and I'm a fan of the gargoyle helm as well (cept it made my twiggy self fat roll lol) though I seem to like helms that cover the whole head/face more for whatever reason.

Dark Souls 1 was a hell of an experience, I felt I went in at the right time with the right mood and I was completely blind and uneducated in how everything worked. Then it blew open just how HUGELY deep it is and I was in love forever. DS2...it had some good moments, but it paled in comparison to the pure feeling from the first Souls, plus how damn tight the controls were in DS1, perfecto. Miyazaki's leading the charge for this one, so I have only high hopes for this to be the next biggest and greatest for Souls. I neeeeeeeeeeed

I have played DS1 a lot. In the forest you do get invaded by annoying godmode hacks.
But even if they are invincible, I've outsmarted a good handful.
By that I mean gravity still kills them lol.

I am a pleb and make myself hollow if I don't want to deal with Darkroot fightclubs/gankers - especially when I just want to go fight sif or something lol. That place is the wooorst. XD
