Fursuit FAQ:
*Do you outsource materials? (EX: use resin or silicone parts other people have made)
No, I prefer that when people see my work they know I made the entire thing by myself. Also, ordering through a third party does not give me control over the quality.
*Can I buy unfinished items from you, like headbases or wing skeletons?
No, outside of occasional premade sales I no longer sell on-commission DIY items.
*What are the wait times like?
Usually anywhere from 2-6 months, depending on how complex your costume is and your spot in the lineup. I do not accept hard deadlines, but I do arrange my projects in an attempt to meet desired soft deadlines.
*Can I send you fur/fabric to use? Will this give me a discount? Will you buy the leftovers from me?
Generally, no. Most of a commission's cost is buying my time and skill and not from the materials themselves so I do not typically offer discounts of that sort. I also prefer to work with furs that I can easily acquire more of for the purpose of making matching parts in the future, repairs, etc. If you are trying to match an exisitng costume with a special fur, mention so during your quote and we can probably come to some kind of understanding :)
*Do you really need a DTD? What about measurements? Can I have it back afterwards?
I can work off measurements for simple things like arm or leg sleeves, but I absolutely need a dummy whenever a bodysuit and/or padding is involved. I keep DTDs stuffed in my workroom until it is confirmed that the costume does not need alterations, afterwards I thrown them out unless you want to pay shipping to have it returned to you.
*Do you offer payment plans?
My standard way of doing things is a payment plan, actually. I require a 30% non-refundable deposit to buy materials and secure your spot in my queue. When I am ready to start your costume I ask for a 40% payment, when that is paid I get to work. When the costume is done I ask for the remaining 30% and the shipping. Single-part orders (feet-only, tail-only) may require payment in full up front, the shipping to be paid upon completion.
*Do you do trades?
Not at this time, sorry!
*What comes standard when I buy a costume?
-Head: toony foam-based head (or resin if we have the species already) that is fully lined with a balaclava, 1-2 fur types, your choice of toony 2D (staring) or 3D (following) eyes, moving jaw, toony teeth, fleece tongue, muzzle fan.
-Hands: 5 fingers, wrist-length, small resin claws, 1-2 fur types, silicone pawpads
-Tail: soft-filled with two belt loops, 1-2 fur types
-Feet: built on a shoe, plain rubber bottoms, small resin claws, 1-2 fur types
-Bodysuit: plantigrade, tailored to be form-fitting, 1-2 fur types
Additional upgrades available upon request:
Indoor feet soles, silicone feet pawpads, fursuit sandals, static jaws, hair, resin-based heads, resin eyes, resin horns/beaks/claws, male/female padding, digitigrade padding, LEDs, complex markings or additional colors, semi-realisitc style, etc!
*Do you modify/repair costumes other people have made? Like, if I buy wings from you, will you alter my existing bodysuit to fit them? Will you refurbish a head another person made?
No, I only work on costumes I've made myself-- that way there are no unknowns for either of us!
*Can I buy single parts from you? (ex: only a head, only wings, etc)

I have a partial already made, however, I'd be potentially interested in getting some digitigrade legs (up to waist) and updating the armsleeves/hands. I know where my maker got the fur so I could tell you the exact brand/colors to match. Would this be something you'd be willing to do? If so, would you be willing to quote a cost for it? It's not something I anticipate being able to get right away but a general idea of the price would be great to help me set a goal to save!

Base prices for most of the parts you mentioned are in the image. I have a plantigrade example of below-the-waist legs, I would need to think about a rate for a digitigrade version of such but yeah, am open to the idea. Hit me up during my next round of open slots and we can talk more!
