Something I wrote in highschool after the English teacher seeded our minds with Simon and Garfunkles "I am a rock, I am an Island". This is the origin of the specific nickname I now use. Contributing factors include my dad recording "The Hobbit" onto tape when I was young, and the fact that I decided to take Latin as my language requirement in highschool since I thought it would be useful to a scholar such as myself (I neglected to consider that neither history nor taxinomy were particular interests of mine at the time).
