I did this last year but only just got around to adding the finishing touches (seed pod and glowy bits, mainly). So happy to finally be able to share this! :)
The Langurhali Elders carved this massive symbol using wood from the Willow (it can easily repair itself and it's so large, the Langurhali can make homes & furniture out of its bark without causing any real damage) when Willora was just beginning to grow into the world it is today. It is the visage of Eulric, the Heartwood (a sort of title relating to king) and second oldest Langurhali next to his sister. This original is about two stories high, and is kept above the doorway into the Willow itself. There are many smaller versions of it all over Willora, some even carve valuable gemstones into the shape and use it as currency. Some are made from pieces of the Willow's roots and stained with the glowing slime mold, which can continue to live and glow for years when kept in contact with a part of the Willow. The bark can sustain any kind of plant life for months at the least, so some Willorians will plant a vine at the top of their personal symbol and use it as a living necklace, which may grow leaves or flowers.
Any Langurhali can wear small versions of the symbol. It is not a religious idol or anything, just a symbol to remind them of their history. The Elders symbol is typically only worn by the Elders themselves or given to other Langurhali as a reward for heroism or other exceptional deeds.
No Langurhali has ever actually seen a Willow seed pod. They are exceptionally rare and are only produced once every 1,000 years. Willora is only about 300 years old, and the Willow itself about 600. Willows live to be around 5,000 years old, and thus may only produce up to 5 new Willows in one lifetime. The pod can only fit in a Langurhali's hand like in the sigil when it first emerges; it takes about a year to start forming the seed inside, and will grow to be about the size of a basketball when ready to fall. The seed itself will be around the length of an adult Langurhali's hand when it's ready to start growing.
