they also had a compact casette player. someone had the idea of adding round windows to the casette deck lid so you could see the black pints against the white housing, so the thing was always staring at you with follow-me eyes. creeepy.

I think there were at least 2 twilight zone episodes concerning "haunted" phones

- one where a child's toy phone connected to a dead relative

- one where a widow's phone kept ringing. The deceased husband was calling because the phone line fell off the poles into his grave.
