Grand Gesture, Little Touches
OH MY GOD, THIS PAINTING, BY
AMARANTH IS ONE OF THE GREATEST THINGS SHE HAS EVER GIVEN ME: http://www.furaffinity.net/view/22819543/
LOOK AT IT, WITNESS ITS MAJESTY (but don't look for too long, or you might damage your eyes. It's like looking at the sun! Sort of.)
Do you see the hand of the divine therein? I do. Well, a divinity she and I made up, anyway. :}===<
And the hand I speak of is really her hand. That which she touches becomes imbued with naught but GLORY.
The aforementioned painting was a birthday present for me last year, and since I recently had it printed onto a thick wooden glossy 16x20inch plaque that now hangs on my bedroom wall (yes, really!), I thought it was high time I expressed my undying gratitude and thanks to my minigoddess by writing something for the wondrous work she gave me. I will soon post the painting in my own gallery, just as I have displayed it on my wall.
I feel guilty it's taken me this long, but the problem was that we had intended to keep the true nature of The Forest secret. But nowadays, we know it's best to let your audience know your secrets. The right people will see, and will remember or not, and other newcomers can discover them in time, through whatever path they take through your gallery.

If he wasn't such a benevolent deity, I suspect the story would have been much shorter...
"You know, I don't believe you"
"Oh, I see..."

Adorable story! The interplay between the characters is just so amusing, though I'm very much on the naga's side. I'm sure the fauntaur's temperament is what attracts him wherein I want to see him mollified because of how petulant she acts. She's cute though. Can't go wrong with deer!
Love the description and action that went along with describing the naga's embodiment as a force of nature! That's my favorite part. Magic!

They've got a very amusing dynamic to watch, and to write. :}===<
He is indeed drawn to her 'forthright' nature, how she refuses to be overwhelmed or impressed by his lofty powers.
I'm glad you liked the magic, since that was the biggest challenge, in this [big] little tale. :>
Thanks for the fave! I was waiting for you to get to this one, since I wanted you to see Ninian in general. Although I suppose you'd have seen pictures of her before now.

Haha. Yes. 'Forthright' indeed. I can forgive her brattniess (it's my weakness to cervine-kind). Besides, she wasn't all hubris as the reader was given insights into her true feelings.
It's hard to write a super-scaled (in size) epic blast of fantasy. But you surpassed the challenge!
