I made some changes and did some touch-up work, which was only possible thanks to Trooper036 giving me a copy of the .sai file of the piece <3

I'm not normally someone who's proud of my own work, but I think I did a pretty decent job at making my changes look unnoticeable except under close inspection ^3^

As you can tell, Garrett has a unique set of color markings, as well as a tailmaw, or tail mouth. Garrett's tail is technically sentient on its own; it's not dumb, it's actually quite clever as far as sentients go, despite relying mainly on taste, feel, air and sound vibrations, and smell in the form of the taste of the air. Despite this, it's quite simple -- it can't talk or move farther than it can stretch on its own. It also can't understand words; it can detect loudness and tone, and basic emotions, but not much else.

The link between Garrett and his tail is purely physical -- they can't communicate telepathically or see/hear/taste what each other is. With that said, the tail does react to Garrett's feelings and emotions, and vice versa to some extent.

Garrett's tail never sleeps, and has no need to sleep. It can be physically exhausted, in which case, its movements slow and it grows generally lethargic, at least until it rests a bit. Being a symbiotic relationship, the tail doesn't bother Garrett's sleep, and tends to just curl around him or try to act as a pillow or blanket. Sometimes it decides to have fun or to snack on someone who sleeps too near, but it usually contents itself with wrapping itself around them and keeping them warm. Usually~



Not only did Trooper036 do an amazing job on it and finish it in under a week, but he was an absolute joy to work with, and he put up with me being a kind of picky about various tiny details without a single complaint. He even gave me a copy of the Paint SAI file, which was really nice of him! I'll definitely be buying commissions from him again in the future, and I definitely suggest him as an artist for anyone who wants a commission! <3

CHANGES I MADE:

Art:
- Ears: Removed the flag design and did touch-up shadow work on the back-view main shot.
- Detail shots: Added the missed/incomplete blue lines under the chin on the top right detail shot. Finished the 'fur-texture' blending on colors of the lines in the top right and bottom left detail shots. VERY slight detail edits to the lighting on the tongue in the top-right shot. Added missing green to detail shots of face.
- Main body: VERY minor touch-up on the blue spirals blending on the upper arms, where it hadn't been blended at the bottom of them.

Text:
- Name and second line: Moved to top.
- Added weight and height reference to the bottom middle.
- Colors reference: Removed the now-unnecessary 'Ears' category.
