A splendid picture that was created to serve as two icons, one for myself (which I've been using for the past few months), and one for Amaranth (which she's also been using since she made them).
The characters are Ninian and 'The Forest'. She is a fauntaur, and her powerful paramour is a serpentine botanical god with no true name. Check that link to see the folder of other submissions featuring them.
Below is a little something from Ninian's point of view.

Dating a Deity - by Amethystine
My very special friend,
The Forest without end
and the garden I tend.
He says that he's a god
I just smile and nod
and imply he's a fraud.
(This will work without fail
with man of fur or scale)
Like any other male,
rebuffed, he will aim
to confirm his claim
lest he lose our game.
What comes next is the prize
you won't believe your eyes
nature's laws, he defies.
Using all of his powers
and a cascade of flowers
he'll pamper me for hours.
Anything I say he can't make
is quickly made by my plant snake
all for the trivial scant stake.
My own original need?
He grants me fabulous speed.
-
A path for my hooves to beat?
In seconds: long and complete.
-
And when I bore of the race,
turning to a carnal pace?
-
A hundred beautiful bucks
providing service deluxe.
-
When I say I can't be vine'd
he is there, ready to bind.
Tendrils know my every curve
they spread bliss to each last nerve.
But true joy is to observe
how a god doth treat a faun.
Truly, I should make him yawn,
not keep him up until dawn.
This king of all trees,
his realm spans 'twixt seas,
I'm brought to my knees
by the thought of his care.
I am nothing so rare,
and yet we are a pair.
With him of age eternal
and me so very vernal,
to him, I am a kernel.
But if I am like a seed,
a Forest is what I need,
my little serpentine weed.
He will teach and show
all I want to know
so that I might grow
into something more fine
perhaps even divine
like the one I call mine,
the god who deigns entwine
this unhumble cervine.

Yeah, she'd be insufferable if we couldn't tell she was doing this stuff on purpose / with self-awareness. Although, I think.. part of her arc is going to be that she is actually just this bratty for real when her story starts out, and learns humility and then just.. pulls out the brattiness for fun.
But.. inDeed! Deer are darling, definitely. :D
