I felt inspired to get this style of commission because clothing is often used to make a character more iconic and recognizable. I always use to think it was funny when cartoon characters would open a closet to reveal 50 matching outfits. But seeing a character in different clothing or situations makes them more real and fleshed out. I think that's a part of what makes fanart such a powerful tool to make us love characters even more. Even formulating this commission forced me to think about situations Catora would be in, his tastes and style preferences. I would highly recommend getting a clothing reference for anyone wanting to breath new life into their fursona.

So permit me a second to work out the logic in my choices,

Everyday - Catora's everyday outfits usually orbit the realms of skater or grunge. He gravitates towards dark or rich colors and simple patterns. Comfort is also a major draw.

Sleepwear - The age old questions of boxers or briefs? Why not both?

Kimono - Catora is from Japan as are most Nekomatta. He spent several hundred years in Japan and the best way for a yokai to survive is to blend in with society. Catora would usually wear something like this to blend in a noble court but not be ostentatious enough to drawn unwanted attention. As for how he got the clothing, well, there's probably some unlucky merchant whose bones are scattered in a nameless forest somewhere, but who can really say...

Tux - So Catora is actually married in my cannon story for him. I'm still working on trying to find the right artist to commission a pic of his husband. But the short description is that he's a large green fey dog, a Cu-Sith from celtic mythology, named Glen. I'll dive deep into his story if I can ever get a commission for him, but this outfit is definitely what he would have worn for his wedding day.

Workout - Even an immortal has to take care of his body. This outfit was very interesting to work out with artist, it's mostly based off a reference piece I found with some modifications, the biggest being the ears. I don't know why but when I looked at hoodies that most furries are pictured wearing, they're either poking out from the hood exposed to the elements or tucked under a hood made for someone without ears on their head, lol. I would personally prefer this style, keep my ears nice and dry in the rain, but make part of the material thinner to lower the muffling of sound. I think more artist should dive into the realm of functional anthro clothing.

Kink - I'm aware that I haven't shown much of Catora's sexuality cause there's certainly no porn on this FA page. But that's intentional, I want to focus more on the character. But sex is a part of a lot of people's lives and it's certainly no stranger to Catora. He's bisexual, switch, and mainly just a hedonist. He's happy to experiment and chase after what makes him feel good. It's part of his desire to find meaning in his immortality.
