"You two deserve it, Nia. But one question remains, Chris..." Morningstar said as she looked down at the wolf. "You are back but...is the Star back?"

He scratched the back of his head. "It's...kinda sudden to tell. I haven't donned the cape in nearly four years after all. Wonder if Techrat still has the suit..."

"I think you should..." Morningstar walked to the office's door and opened it and immediately caught Texas Tilly, Techrat, Computer Mouse, Laser Vixen, Mach, Crimson Cur, Ferric, and Lightshow hunched next to the door and eavesdropping "...ask him yourself."

"CHRIS!!" The young mouse rushed in and hugged the wolf tightly.

"Jacob! Nice to see you again, man" he grinned and then looked at the other heroes. "Hi everyone, how's it going?"

"It's daisy t' 'ave ya back, man. We done thought ya were gawn forevher!!" Tilly said, patting his shoulder.

"I thought so too, Tilly, but Thank God I got back." he smiled at the Texan Lynx.

"It's amazing to hear you are back! Gosh...I thought we had it hard when me, Valerie and Maxine travelled to that dimension but...FOUR YEARS?! Jeez!" Ferric gasped.

"BAKA!!! CHRIS-SAN!!"

The wolf's eyes widened as a very familiar rockhopper penguin dressed in a white and black uniform rushed to him and hugged him tight.

"BROOKLYN!! Man, so good to see you--OW!!" he winced as, after hugging him tight, she conked him in the head.

"That's for all the worry you gave us, baka-wolf!! And for disappearing with baka-lynx after the big fight instead of coming back right here!" she shouted and then, before he could react, she hugged him again.

"Uh...I'm sorry? I swear that it's not like I planned it, really!" he said apologetically.

However, as soon as Rocky let go of him, a yellow and red blur zoomed through the hallway and tackled him head on, sending the wolf crashing to the floor.

"CHRISBUDDYBUDDY, YOU'RE ALIVE!!"

The wolf blinked as he had a nearly seven-foot-tall Florida Panther on top of him, pawing his nose.

"Jason..." he groaned while the rest of the heroes reunited laughed. But the wolf finally smirked. "Man, I missed a version of you who's not moody."

This time it was Slipstream's turn to scratch his head confused. "Moody? Moi? Buddy, are you sure that your head is in the right place?" the panther asked, floating through the air and offering the wolf a hand.

"I'll tell you later..." Chris Jones said with a grin, taking the offered hand.
