I always enjoy working on commissions featuring my own OC's. This is an anonymous flat colored commission piece of my prehistoric dino mercenary, 'Crash,' after dealing with a target the best way he knows how. ;)

Nice to see you back, Crash! It's been a while. ^^
Seriously, I love this so much! Looking back on your earliest drawings of this guy, the difference is night and day. The lineart, the anatomy, the basic character design, it's all a massive improvement. I especially love how his head came out, with the thicker neck and boxy skull that's more fitting for a T-Rex. Every part of him is really bulky and "solid", which fits his gruff n' tough personality to a tee. And of course, dat belly is simply wonderful.
As always, excellent work! I can't wait to see what else you have in store.

"Ahhh, good tuh-(URRP!)-oof, heh, be back..."
Crazy to think it's been a few YEARS since I've drawn any of my OC's. I gotta step up my game. 'XD
Thank you VERY much for the kind words! I appreciate 'em big time! Yeah, I guess with time, getting a feel for certain anatomical approaches has gotten a lil more comfortable for me, as opposed to the choppy nightmares of my earliest work. :P I wanted him to appear beefy, with or without that big round gut, he's very much a body builder-type, and so every part of him needs to be thick...in every sense of the word, hence that big, prey-filled gut. ;)
Seriously, thanks again! I hope whatever else comes about proves enjoyable as well! :)

Your improvement as an artist is really clear in this picture, I have to say; simple as it is, Crash definitely seems more solid, and the changes to the shape of his skull and other elements of his anatomy really help sell him, so to speak. It's nice to see you return to this guy after so long! I will say the pants look a little off, though I'm not entirely sure why, but...eh. Hardly a huge issue.
...And on a less constructive/critical note, I don't think I'd entirely mind being in that merc's place. Especially with gas like that.
Yes, I'm aware I should seek therapy. >///>
Sincerely,
The Cheshire Cat's Master

Many thanks! I appreciate that! I'm guessing the angle makes the pants look weird since it cuts off mid-thigh. Though, I AM working on a full body shot of default Crash, so hopefully, that'll look better. ;)
Aaaaaand methinks Crash wouldn't mind that either, right, big guy?
(licks chops) "Ey, kid, if ya really don't mind, I COULD use a lil desert... ;) "
