Fiona was raised alongside his sister Atalie by the Kinsey family when they where found as cubs being the only two surviving members of their pride after a battle between the pride and a hobgoblin war band led to the wemics losing but crippling the hobgoblin war legion to the point that local farmer militia could kill them off. Both cubs where found hidden in a dug out tunnel by their adoptive parents.
He grew up among his human family who named him Fionan meaning handsome because of his unique fur pattern being a Strange mutant wemic after years he grew to a massive size compared to other wemics and found himself yearning for a life off of a boring wheat farm and found it when he came across the bodies of a few adventures and the orcs that killed them and an hour later he came home covered in orc blood smiling to his family and showing them his shiny new pair of branched swords. At this point his parents decided he was probably bound for a different calling in life then farming so they contacted the nearest experienced adventurer to teach their son so he can keep from getting killed...unfortunately that teacher is Shuya who while a good person and great adventurer is a terrible influence on a Young adult.
