So what started as a simple drawing for a friend months ago turned into a large custom species out if it.
Spending a long time and months with limited drawing time it finally finished to the point where I had to stop as it was taking way too long and my perfectionism kept making me want to fix everything.

Why Semi-open?
Opening up the Species to commission, for now, if asked can always give blessings for other uses

So what is the Var'Siek Hive, well it is a Symbiotic creature that the main goal is to spread as far and wide into as many host needed to insure the survival of the Species.
Unknowing host infected by food, water,spores even a snake bite could pass all their lives without even knowing they were infected.
More knowing host would be given alot of knowledge by the hive and if desired can be altered into different forms.
Some host are altered directly if captured by other host.

*Is the hive evil? *

No, it only want to gift and keep itself alive in as many host.

*Does one lose their personality? *

The only alterations to one personality at base level is a implementation of loyalty for the hive once they are knowing they are infected, later stages of infection might have some alterations but the hive doesn't want mindless drones but rather a large collective of many host with many intellects while also acting like "normal" around non infected host, with infected host they are Friendly and stick together unless they hated each other before being infected then they would keep up the act.
