I see your S.T.A.L.K.E.R reference and I like it.
Anyway, that's true. Personally though, I feel it'd make more sense to go for the neck; the groin and chest would hurt but wouldn't be immediately incapacitating. Even a direct hit to the heart isn't always a guaranteed "Lights out" moment. Plus, that’s assuming the dagger could piece the breastbone, which I’m not convinced of given its dimensions and how some serious force is needed for that.
The neck however, again while not always being immediately incapacitating in all cases, has a higher chance of being so on account of it’s being mostly flesh with multiple important things within; hit some of those weaker vertebrae hard enough or nick the spinal cord with the blade and that’s potentially complete paralysis below the wound site. Needless to say, any serious wound to the neck will also have blood loss and shock take hold extremely quickly as well.
Another benefit she has is her position, she seems to be in motion and throwing her weight towards him, she can use that. Plus, ironically, his grabbing her wrist may well aid her; he’s not going to let that go so, if she pulls in with her right arm, she can essentially use that against him as it’s only keeping the dagger away, not her. Atop that, they’re (Seemingly) locking eyes; he’s watching her face, not her off hand, that’s a deadly mistake. Although, if she’s trying to collapse his knee with her own, I’m not sure if that would help or hinder her, depends how he goes down and if he does.
Regardless, she’s probably got one chance before he starts unloading, very little movement would be needed to bring that pistol to bear and, even if it’s not aimed too well, multiple shots to the abdomen or upper body is going to ruin anyone’s day.
Well…that comment turned out longer than expected…

Well thank you so much! I certainly did try to tell the story visually, and im glad the small details are making a difference.
This scene here might even get a sequel, though we are unsure if it should be the good end or the bad end. Either way once SpookySly finishes his written piece Ill be sure to link to it!
