When Uula bestows its Greater Gifts, it likes to imbue a bit of itself into its champions (it's sort of vain that way). Here, the Serasphynx's millennia of loyal service has earned it a promotion to the status of Icon - something akin to a lesser god - a station second only to Uula itself. Knowing how the Serasphynx likes to get down, I really don't think Uula has done the rest of us any favors here.
