when i was kind of design "coaching" or "directing" or whatever it is i actually do, i was really inspired by a lot of early jewelcase artwork, especially some japanese PSX and PC Engine titles. those games have some of the best cover artwork ever made! nothing can compare!

there will be a one level demo posted online when the game's out, yuppers! at the con my laptop will be set up at the PSURG table with a usb controller so people can play it there too!

8 bit game?

"8 bit" doesn't mean anything when it's running on a computer ;]

there's no set "bit" count in this game. it's 2D and sprite-based, yes, but has more colors and such than on 8 or 16 bit consoles. it's more like a 2D PSX shooter, like Harmful Park or something.

wow, very cool the fact that the game has a style of PSX (one of my favorite consoles ever), but I thought it would be something like "8bit-ish thing" because your style reminds me of that and the chiptunes too? xP

If it isn't in the full version yet, might I suggest some display setting tweaks, if it's possible with MMF. Display size and whatnot. On one computer, shrinking the resolution mismatched the icons, yet on another it didn't. I don't remember if it's that difficult to implement it in MMF (as opposed to GM).

I hope to have the cash later this month to get it... it definitely seems awesome.

...That reminds me.. I gotta get some more work done on my own game, heh.
