After bullying my now-husband, Jesse, into making a fursona (with the help of our adopted son, Oliver, of course!!), I commissioned this piece as an anniversary gift for him. It's a scene that's very reminiscent of our first date! It was also our first time meeting each other. I ran late as always, but Jesse patiently waited for me. When I arrived, we punted! Instead of getting lunch at Chili's and playing Pokémon GO on the 16th Street Mall like we had originally planned, we went to Elitch's to enjoy one of the first days of their Fright Fest!!
It was pure magick. I knew from that very first day that I wanted to keep being around him. A soft, quiet voice whispered to me to go on a second date, even though he was quiet and we didn't talk much. By the second date, I knew he had to be mine, and we became official. A year later, we married each other. 💙
Jesse is my best friend, my person, and my soulmate. I love him more than anything and anyone. Being in his arms is Home for me.
