I have a very niche interest in games. For the most part I only enjoy first person puzzlers, like The Witness, The Talos Principle, and 2D-equivalents like The Swapper. On occasion though I find a game I love outside that bubble, and Outer Wilds is one such example. Think "Breath of the Wild" meets "Majora's Mask" and you'll have a pretty good idea what this game is like. It's very well-designed, both in terms of the paths most players will take through the game, and in terms of the physics engine. Everything is actually simulated in real time as you play with real working gravity interactions between every object in the game. The planets cast shadows on each other. It's crazy, and very cool. If you have played the game, you may understand which part of it I'm at in this image, but please try not to spoil it for others! (And yes, there are a few inaccuracies, but I am still extremely happy with how this turned out.)
