I started with a Jeep Wrangler, i just gave him away because i needed more space. So for the last 8 years i was driving a Cherokee.
Now that Jeep offers a 4 door Wrangler i could not resit any more :)
And a 4 door convertible is very Fursuit friendly.
Its the Sahara edition.

That's a good idea, so in the usual traffic jam you can driver OVER the other cars.
I wish I had the time (and money) to rebuilt my offroader.

You can also flap down the windshield.

My dad is working on a 1978 350 SLC with the 4.5 V8 right now -- we can't tell if it's a gray market car or the previous owner(s) just put a lot of Euro-spec bits on it like the headlamps and lower airdam bodykits and such. It sat for a long time, it's sloooowly coming around.
I'd love an early 70s 280SL but they're sooo expensive. c.c

That's awesome to hear, yeah I have driven quite a few of the two doors. they get really sketchy here when it's wet on the roads since we have really tight corners, they liked to do nothing but do burnouts XD the 4door/longer wheelbase really helps control that which is really nice.
Read a post down, sucks it's nearly double! but then again, you pay to be unique since I'm sure there can't be all that many of those driving around DE

I loved my cherokee with the inline six.
First i tested a manual Wrangler 3.8 and thought WTF cause it felt really powerless, even the diesel which they offer over here was stronger.
But the V& with the european Automatic and axle ratio is very very nice. It has enough power offroad and its nice for traveling the Autobahn, it reaches 190 kmh without a problem and still feels very save.

I've heard Chrysler's making a new V-6's with around 250 horsepower for the new 2010 Grand Cherokee, hopefully they will go into the Wrangler too. And with Fiat taking over Chrysler who knows what kind of power options we'll get in the future. Hopefully they will stick with Daimler-designed transmissions.
I test drove a Hemi Grand Cherokee Limited last year and it was scary POWERFUL , way too much for a Jeep. The 4.7 is a much better engine for this vehicle. Mines only a 2 wheel drive, but I hardly go offroad.

This was my cherokee http://www.tigress.com/nightfox/fox.....x/dscf0035.jpg
And yes, the new one will get a lot of fun too :)

good car for freakout in terrain. and it,s so nice indeed :) However, I would pretty concerned about finding new scratch after every offroad ride......if I should experience adrenaline or some fun on the road or terrain, i would take car of my friend first
:D We czech foxes prefer our homeland cars x) especially those old ones.too bad he had to get rid of it :(

If you wanna do some exhaust tuning in future, don't follow his example x)

So I wish you and your 4-wheeled pet thousands and thousands kilometres without accident, breakdowns and especially COPS!... and have fun ;)
i prefer my TJ over my friends JK (his is two door). both are six speed manual. mine has a I6 4.0L and his is a V6 3.8L. his is geared weird so that it dies out when you are almost idle in 4HI. i took out all that useless carpet and rhyno lined mine :Ð
when are you going to take off the top and doors? and please tell me you have a manual transmission and 4WD

I did a test drive with the manual JK and was shocked, the 200hp felt like nothing.
The european automatic and axle ratio is very nice, its really really fast on the Autobahn and has more than enough power off road.
The hardtop is already stored in my garage and i will get open element doors as soon as possible.
A 2WD drive version is not available in europe at all, nobody would buy a off road car over here without 4WD, that is stupid.
And i got the automatic, i don't like shifter cars (unless its a real super sport) Especially off road the automatic is better.
I know that everyone has a different opinion about that theme.

thats cool. for some reason there are JKs offered in the US without 4WD. what is the point in having a jeep if you can't put it in 4LO? i don't like automatics at all, less power and less driver control. especially on mountains and icy roads, give me a manual transmission. xÐ
btw, tuffy would be a good investment for security products like center consoles and such.

There is no such thing as a 2 wheel drive wrangler. Never has been, in the US OR as an import...there have been custom jobs/show jeeps where somone has modefied/removed the front axle and transfer case and made a 2wd (which sounds like blasphemy to me).... and ive only seen it done to old Jeep CJ-5/7's that are stricly for show and they will never see a spec of dirt in their lifetime again..... havent seen or heard of it done to wranglers yet....you should check your sources. I just double checked Jeep's US/Canada website and used the build and price section and any wrangler regardless of model only comes in 4 wheel drive.
Congratulations!
But on the other hand though not at the coyote (coyote has no car), but the family coyote - just like this man jeep 1985 issue http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lada_Niva - true red
You can say - a little bit more and he will have oldtimers
Well i needed something that could haul an ATV, or other large load without the need of a trailer, and that has to be a pickup.
I got a sierra 2500HD duramax diesel. Scary thing is that it consumes less than half the fuel of the sahara when in 4cyl mode.
Although i do miss my Sahara, it was unique.
