You're not the only one.
Either the Tienkhan have been infiltrated by Omega's forces, or their self-isolation have gotten to their heads and made them believe themselves "Superior" to everyone else... Or they're being lead by a Douchebag Emperor.
I feel it's the latter two. Ancient Imperial China was... Messy, much of it to do with the Emperors and nobility leading them. Much of them were willing to murder their own family, just to gain power.
Either the Tienkhan have been infiltrated by Omega's forces, or their self-isolation have gotten to their heads and made them believe themselves "Superior" to everyone else... Or they're being lead by a Douchebag Emperor.
I feel it's the latter two. Ancient Imperial China was... Messy, much of it to do with the Emperors and nobility leading them. Much of them were willing to murder their own family, just to gain power.
I think that means Either Omega's forces have infiltrated the Wyvern Kingdom, or their Self-Isolation have gotten to their heads that they are 'Superior'.
When I saw the Design of the Tienkhan kingdom, I remembered some of the more... Horrid aspects of Ancient Chinese Culture.

I didn't even bring up the fact that even if the emperor did that to "protect her", It doesn't mean the rest of his Concubines wouldn't assault or murder her out of Jealousy... Or that some offical wouldn't try "Sampling her". (That happened a Lot.)
Similar issues came up in Ancient Japan as well, most of which after they Adopted Chinese ideals, up until they became their own nation... Minus the Concubine part, they were rather rare in Ancient Japan.
After all, Edelgraen has been admitted to have had evil long before Omega poked his giant hooter into the picture. Just look at the Primerians, brainwashing their own people with a KILL SWITCH should the emperor die... And the fact that quite a few Kemonos were already douchebags that, when given the chance, they'll sell their soul, and their family's, for power.

Y quiero saber de parte de quien esta este cuate y su gobierno, Omega no creo, no veo a este cuate con ansias de poder, aunque su gobierno es otra cosa, nunca falta una tercera fuerza que puede ayudar o... darles en la torre.

They're a Dictatorship, aren't they? Like I had mentioned in my comment on their introduction. That, Or Enya and her yet to be laid daughter would have become Concubines to some Fat Emperor had she gone.
After all, Enya did say they were an "Isolated" bunch, and I remembered how Ancient Asian Cultures pretty much had most women be trade tokens of a sort.
Still, at least we know know our Paladin Birb Boi's species now. "Zepherion", sounds a lot like the original name of the Story's world, Zerieon, or whatever it was called, before it was changed to Edelgraen.
