BUY Bug Fables Now on both The Nintendo Switch and on Steam, you won't regret it!
No offense to anyone who likes the new Paper Mario Games from Sticker Star and onwards, but I am personally sick and tired of what Nintendo is doing to one of my Favorite Game Franchises of all time.
To me, Paper Mario is no longer the same series as it was back in Paper Mario 64 (Mario Story) and Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door.
In fact, Bug Fables has FAR succeeded any of these games in being what I would call a worthy successor to Paper Mario.
So to show my disapproval for Nintendo's negligence and what I feel like is outright animosity towards Classic Paper Mario Fans, I am today, July 17th 2020, on the Release Date of Paper Mario: The Origami King, going to buy my Nintendo Switch copy of Bug Fables, the True third game in the Paper Mario series, instead of the Official release, on the console that the game is being released on.
If you enjoy the new Paper Mario games, I am not going to stop you from playing them. I personally am just sick and tired at this point.

No offense to anyone who likes the new Paper Mario Games from Sticker Star and onwards, but I am personally sick and tired of what Nintendo is doing to one of my Favorite Game Franchises of all time.

Of course I am okay with people liking the new ones. Everyone should have their own tastes and opinions, it makes things more interesting :3 But, me, personally? I dislike the new games so fucking much... They are not my thing, which is why Bug Fables is so good ^^
And it has lots of bugs, which I also love. Gimme buggies \o3o /

Paper Mario is also one of my favorite franchise, and my favorite game is Color Splash. No offense to anyone who like the older Paper Mario games, but the newer games are far more imaginative and enjoyable than the older ones. Paper Mario 64, however is in top of my list but I really didn’t think the story in TTYD and SPM fit well with Mario. As for the battles themselves, I enjoy a very simple, yet puzzlingly creative battles than the traditional turn based RPG. I prefer to one shot all my eneimes and collect as many Coins to use for the Battle Spin and items.
I say the current series is fine. I like the direction of the newer games cause I love new ideas, gimmicks, and puzzles in a Mario game. As well as the very funny dialogue that had been missing much with the older games to me.

Bug Fables, I can enjoy without comparing it to Paper Mario. I’ve been lurking r/BugFables for awhile and honestly, I couldn’t help but feel sad. Not only at r/BugFables, but r/papermario as well. I get being disappointed that the series hasn’t gone back to it’s roots of being an RPG, I do. What I don’t like is how we older fans (I have played the older games) only seem to care about ourselves and not even giving the newer fans a chance to talk.
I may be an old fan, but I really enjoyed the newer games so much that I couldn’t find a way to hate them. I don’t hate TTYD nor SPM; they’re awesome games, just not what I hoped for a Mario game. I can replay them again and again for what they are. Unfortunately, I had gotten a lot of hate for not liking those games as much as they like. Even when I try to go in-depth of the things I like or dislike in every game, it’s either “Like the older games or bust.” I could tell you more if in PMs if you like.

Don't think of it like that. There's nothing wrong with having tastes that differ from your friends. There's too many things for us to feel different from one another on that it's just a waste of time to worry about a disagreement here and there.

Well Paper Mario The Origami King is my first Paper Mario. But i hope that Nintendo plan to doing a HD Remastered from the both first games Paper Mario Story and Paper Mario The Thousand Year Door on Switch. That Battle System is the best and is fit better on this both. After this will it more Action than RPG. Why Shigeru Miyamoto must you ruin this. In Point should Sticker Star a thrue Sequel from Paper Mario but he changed this. What for a Mistake that end for a boring and worst Paper Mario Game on 3DS.

Why can't they go back to the original formula? Why are they not allowed to use new characters and only use classic Mario enemies whilst every other Mario franchise gets new characters all the time? Why can't they use said new characters in Paper Mario such as the Oddyssey characters? Why not use more lesser used characters such as Piantas and Duplighosts? Why can't they give the classic Mario enemy new and unique character traits, personalities and looks?
Like, I have no idea what's going on and it is driving me insane.

I have not played Bug Fables and will not play this. It is a good Game alternative for all Fans from Paper Mario RPG and Paper Mario TTYD.
Maybe should Nintento search lot of new people with fresh idea or put lot of room for their creativity how someone good see by The Legend of Zelda Breath of the Wild.

I'm an old fan who enjoys both, personally I much preffer bug fables and the first 2 PM games but I can like the "new" PM games as their own thing.
Would like them a lot more if they were more like the first two with both gameplay and creativity in terms of redesigning existing mario enemies to be unique alongside new NPCs that are completely new.
Honestly if by some miracle nintendo does release a proper PM game with the new graphics engine I'd flip out ngl

I wouldn't say Super Paper Mario is as bad as Sticker Star onwards. It still had a good story and some humorous moments. While I'll admit the Platformer RPG mix wasn't the best execution, having beaten the game several times myself, I can at least say that it's better then Sticker Star and I played Sticker Star. Never beat it. Didn't even bother with Color Splash since it looked like more of the same from Sticker Star. And Oragami King? While I've heard that there's an improvement, I've also heard it's still very much Sticker Star 3.
But I haven't heard much hate about Super Paper Mario as I have the more recent entrees. I think there might be some bias that people just lump it in with the more modern tiles simply because it's not a turn-based RPG like the first two games of the series. And even those that have played SPM as well as the more recent entrees I have heard agree that they should've stopped after SPM. Sure, SPM is different, and I'll admit, it's where things started going downhill for the franchise, I won't say it's completely on the same level as the current state of Paper Mario.
But I haven't heard much hate about Super Paper Mario as I have the more recent entrees.
