Alright! So after some pretty horrid computer issues, I've finally managed to get back to work on these stories! The downside is I have another 4 days to do now.
Life issues aside, I figured I'd write up Draye's first time getting eaten! Luckily for him, it was by Ryuu or the poor guy may have ended up not liking it nearly as much! Enjoy!
“So all things considered, how hot can you get your fire?” Draye asked while sprawled out on his bedroll in Ryuu’s cave, “Like, I’ve seen it get hot enough to, y’know, incinerate things, but can it go beyond that? Can you make anything into ash?”
Ryuu laid next to Draye, resting his head on his paws with his eyes closed. Every now and again his head would start to tilt before snapping back up suddenly as if he were nearly nodding off. “I don’t know, Draye. I don’t have a good way of measuring how hot my fire can get. I know I’ve burned bone into ash and I’ve melted boulders.”
“Which was hotter?” Draye rolled onto his front, layering his hands behind his head to rest it on them.
“Boulders generally. I think it depends on rock, but I’m not sure. Why are you so curious about my fire?” Ryuu finally asked in an attempt to stop Draye’s questioning.
“Well, it’s weird. I know I got stronger when I was with you and Jack for those few years, but I think it goes more beyond just refining my abilities. My fire is notably stronger than the rest of my elemental magic. So I guess I was wondering if maybe I got something from you and if there’s a chance I could get mine as strong as yours?” He half-asked, taking a look over at Ryuu. “Have you noticed any changes?”
“Nothing on my end, but you seem to maybe have picked up Jack’s more inquisitive side as well.” Ryuu answered with a light smile, “Rest, Draye. We can talk more in the morning.”
“Ryuu, I can’t rest.” Draye sighed and sat up, “I really think I’m onto something here. I don’t even really feel much warmth from fires anymore. Like, I have to be right up on them to get warmed up. Isn’t that weird?”
“Maybe. I don’t know how humans work. Are you cold right now?” Ryuu opened and eye to look over at Draye now.
“I mean, I guess maybe a bit? But I’m not really tucked into the bedroll yet. So it’s hard to— Hey!” Draye cried out just as Ryuu’s paw came down on top of him, pinning the human underneath. “This isn’t funny, Ryuu!”
“I dunno. It’s pretty funny from my side. And I’m well aware I’m warm, so you’re good to go on that regard.” He chuckled and shut his eye once more.
“Oh, yeah! It’s great! Nothing better than a rough, scaly paw to sleep under!” He scoffed back. Draye grunted and squirmed under the heavy paw in a vain attempt to try and lift it off his body.
Ryuu sighed in defeat and removed his paw and opened an eye again, “Are you going to be like this all night?”
“I’m just trying to get answers to what’s going on!” Draye pleaded once he got back up again, “There’s definitely something weird.”
“The only thing weird is that you don’t know how to sleep anymore. Do you need a reminder? I can write it down for you.” Ryuu offered almost condescendingly, “We can talk about it more tomorrow, Draye. You can give me a few examples of your abilities and everything.”
Draye sighed and crossed his arms, “If it were that easy for me to fall asleep right now, then I would. I’m not just going to be able to calm down.”
“Not even under threat of my paw?” Ryuu asked with a devious grin, tapping his knuckles on the stone floor.
“Not even that,” Draye stuck his tongue out at the dragon, “Jack’s are worse than yours. You hold back on the claws.”
“And what if I threatened to eat you?” He offered with a swift lick of his lips, “Always wondered how you tasted.”
Draye rolled his eyes, “Ryuu, if you were any other dragon I might actually be fearful of that. But it’s you. Threatening to eat me isn’t going to work.”
The smile on Ryuu face swiftly retracted into a hard frown. He rose his head from his paws and stared down at the small human in front of him, “Are you sure about that, Draye?”
Draye’s confidence wavered as a sudden red flag rose up in his head. He hesitated to answer, but shook his head after a moment, “No way you would, Ryuu. I know you better than that.” He forced a self-assured grin and met the dragon’s eyes, “But if you’re going to prove me wrong, then feel free to do it.”
A low growl rumbled from Ryuu’s throat as the pair stared each other down. Finally Ryuu spoke up with all the uncaring sincerity he could muster, “Fine. Just remember you gave me permission.”
Draye had nowhere near enough time to react. All he saw was Ryuu’s massive jaws open up in front of him and quickly lunge down, snapping him from the ground. It took an extended moment for Draye to properly process what just happened, but a sudden lick from Ryuu’s wet tongue kicked his mind into overdrive. He cried out and pushed at the tongue to try and get it away from him, but a simple toss of Ryuu’s head was enough to send the human in to land with a wet splat on the large muscle.
Barely any light managed to slip through the dragon’s teeth, but what did come through was enough for Draye to see the large tongue begin to fold back and let the human slide back towards Ryuu’s throat. He cried out and quickly rolled off the tongue, slipping down underneath into a small pool of saliva that had gathered. A displeased hum rang from Ryuu’s throat as he struggled to pull Draye back up above.
Through what light was available, Draye rolled and dodge away from the tongue as he made his way back towards the front of Ryuu’s mouth. Planting his feet on the tough gums below, he pushed his hands up between Ryuu’s large teeth and drove with all his might. At first the jaws refused to give, but slowly they parted to let more and more light through. Ryuu’s let out a surprised grunt as he felt his jaws forced open unexpectedly by Draye’s surprising strength; maybe there was something more to his theory.
Draye pushed the jaws further and further open, fully extending his body vertically to keep the jaws open, “Ryuu! Come on! This isn’t funny! Let me out! You would never do this!” He cried out desperately to the dragon, but his only response was a long, wet lick up his back. “Ryuu!”
Ryuu couldn’t help but smile at the display and gave the human another small lick. Then suddenly the dragon began to tilt his head backwards. Draye grunted and pushed desperately against the gums as he now found himself hanging over Ryuu’s open throat while holding the jaws open. “Ryuu, please! Come on! I’m your friend! I promise I’ll just go to sleep, but you have to realize this is an extreme!”
Ryuu hesitated for a moment, thinking about whether or not this was going a bit far. He could feel Draye’s body trembled from its exhaustive effort to keep him in place over the maw and knew the human wouldn’t last much longer. With a soft sigh and much to Draye’s unfortunate and immediate surprised, Ryuu opened his jaws just a little bit wider, fully loosening Draye’s grip and letting him plummet down into the throat below.
Draye experienced it all in slow motion as he fell. He stared up in shock and betrayal as Ryuu’s jaws grew further and further away along with his last chance at freedom. What little light of hope there was suddenly vanished as Ryuu’s teeth clacked shut. Next he knew, Draye landed hard against the back of Ryuu’s throat. A loud swallow resonated around him and he felt himself suddenly pulled downward into a smooth, tight tube. He tried his best to squirm or get a grip, but the walls squeezed too tightly on him and any chance for a grip slipped away too quickly on the slick walls. Draye’s struggles slowly ceased as the reality of his situation washed over him. He whimpered and gave one more shove before he was pushed through a tight hole and slid down into a wet mess of liquids in the dragon’s stomach.
“See? Told you I would do it,” Ryuu said with a smug chuckle, “And you doubted me.” Draye didn’t respond, simply sulking in the center of his friend. After a few moments Ryuu grew concerned, “Draye? You okay in there? Are you hurt?”
“You ate me…” Draye muttered tearfully, “You’re just going to kill me after everything we’ve been through?”
“What? Draye, no.” Ryuu shook his head despite Draye not being able to see it, “Why would I kill you? You know I’ve eaten people before without actually harming them, right? Why else do you think I’d send you in there?”
Draye was silent for a worryingly long while before answering, “You’re not going to kill me? Even though I’m annoying?”
“Gods, no! I don’t want to kill you, Draye. I’d just burn you if you were that annoying. I ate you because it would get rid of some of your energy trying to not get eaten. It’s nearly midnight, Draye. I wanted you to actually sleep.”
“Why the hell didn’t you say that before you ate me?!” Draye snapped back with a sudden fury that made Ryuu flinch back in surprise, “You could have said you weren’t actually going to kill me!”
“I didn’t know you didn’t know I wasn’t going to kill you! I thought that’d be obvious by now!” Ryuu said back defensively. “You’re my friend! What kind of heartless monster would I be if I just killed you like that?”
“A horrible one honestly!” Draye snorted and crossed his arms, “So there’s no chance I’m going to be killed in here then?”
“Absolutely none. Just take a deep breath, relax, and try to get some sleep. I’ll have breakfast ready for you in the morning.” Ryuu patted his gut softly with a paw.
Draye finally sighed in defeat and moved himself out of the pool of juices and off to the side more to nestle into the fleshy walls, “It’s gross in here, by the way.”
“It’s a stomach, Draye. Not going to be the cleanest.” Ryuu replied back with a soft chuckle, “But it’s cozy, right?”
“Yeah, I guess.” Draye answered reluctantly after a moment. He yawned and rested his head against the warm wall, doing his best to ignore the wetness that soaked through him. Beyond the groaning and churning sounds of Ryuu’s stomach, he found himself better to able hear both the dragon’s rhythmic heartbeat and soft, deep breathing. A gentle rumbling followed soon from Ryuu’s gentle snores and a delicate smile showed on Draye’s face as his pensive tensions eased. Soon the human was fast asleep within the dragon with his worries and questions put off until the next day.
